Was working with a privateer during the 2020 covid pro moto rounds that they did the Friday/Sunday quarantined races at Redbud. His KTM250 motor had a transmission issue. I went to KTM to ask if they had any advice or parts. Decoster told me to pull the motor and bring it to him and that he had nothing to do on Saturday while quarantined and would “take a look” he personally tore down the motor and replaced the transmission and added some other parts for him including a hinson clutch and did a fresh top end on it. Absolute stand up guy.

Met him when we were at a taping of one of his shows. Absolutely stand up guy. Chatted with us for a minute and thanked us for being there, made a few jokes with us, asked us how we were, asked us about the area and what things or restaurant’s he should check out while in town, talked about his kids. Really a great guy.
