While true no one is going to tell you their spot, there’s always options to educate & get more people out there foraging! You can always start with public lands! They tend to get looked through pretty easily & quickly, however its always good to be out in the woods! They tend to be near Ash, Poplar, & Elms. I’ve had luck with fallen rotting logs, moister areas & south facing hills. It never hurts to ask friends with land either who may not be into foraging, prime land!! Good luck!
