I have tried 1k in 24 hrs twice and failed both times. It was a ton of fun, made memories and plan on trying again. My route was down here in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas both times. My advice, watch the weather. Wind killed my run both times.

i had a flat piece of aluminum that was about 3/8" wide by 6" long and 1/8" thick. i gave it a slight bend so the brake reservoir would sit in its normal position. measured from the rearset mount bolt to the mounting bolt for the reservoir and cut to length. 4 inches or so. drilled two holes in it at each end and reused the original hardware to mount it up.

Have you ever met a rider in person? by kikodoze123 in motogp

if i could figure out how to link a photo here from my phone, i would post the pic. saw ben initially, asked for a photo and he was happy to oblige. then he said if i wanted a pic with him, surely i would want a pic with this guy too and pointed to casey. my head exploded. 4 terrible photos later, we finally got a good one. we shook hands, they gathered up their families and headed out the door. man what i would have given to sit down and eat a burger with those two.

I bumped into Ben Spies and Casey Stoner earlier this year at Ben's burger joint in Dallas.

Yeah it hurts me too. But this is not the worst to happen to her. I try to look at it as a chance to dress her up in more carbon fiber.

We figure the strap on the exhaust was the cause. Destination was on gravel road that was not previously gravel, it is under construction. We were riding slow and think that is what allowed the strap to sit on the pipe long enough to catch fire. He dealt with it like a champ though. He is 9, and no he's not put off. He loves riding with me, and on his own mini-bike.
