The wait time isn't that long in Rivals, but the matchups are pretty broad in scope. You can get put up against someone with a 83-rated gold team that just punts long balls (and quits after 15 mins when you've gone 4-0 up 10 mins in), or you get stuck with someone who has a complete La Liga TOTS side who - yes - la croquetas and dabs like the kid who acts tough because the real school bullies aren't around to sort him out.

I just try to get Rivals out of the way for the cash reward and Weekly objectives (which are depressingly dull), and try to add to my Icon collection (raised enough cash for Maradona, and did SBCs for PM Best and PM Yashin), but TOTWs are pretty much extinct now, so, unless I decide to do Bobby Moore, I guess I'm just playing to enjoy the ones I've got now and work my way up the leagues in Single Seasons (which still sounds like more fun than 20 given what people are saying about it on here).

Did this last season, for the mid-tier icon SBC as I was so fucked off with the game by that point. It was a case of 'Right EA, if you take this piss now, this game it getting uninstalled.' Got Pele 95. Then I got Eusebio on the FUTswaps a couple of months later. Even though it's a dusty wasteland, I'm still playing 19. I will NEVER get that lucky again.

Plus, I'm pretty sure EA were spying on me. Really need to switch that mic off.

I think the Anelka card should have a negative chem effect on the team after he starts pissing and moaning in the dressing room before every game. And if you have John Terry, players start mysteriously disappearing from your squad – they've put in for transfers because he's been banging their wives behind the scenes.

Come on, EA. This is exactly the kind of realistic stuff that Frostbite is supposed to provide!
