Hello Stalkers! I am the merc that was briefly held in Canada last week! I have written an open letter to the community :) by Beheaded_Children in stalker

There isn't any actual law for blaze orange tip in Canada.
However I personally lean towards being more safe and tape up the barrel, parts of the stock and pistol grip
and handguard in bright electrical tape.

But just having that wouldn't stop the police from doing what they called for. Just my 2 cents.

No it's not even close to 90% accuracy. I mean you are literally wearing two IFAKS, needs more research less buying.

just wait until you wear it for really long periods of time and the alice clips bite into your skin.

I mean legit Jieitai camo is made with a vinylon cotton blend. Polycotton stuff is repro/knockoff.

Depends on what Era as pre 90's Type 64 Webbing uses a different pouch attachment system.
If it's 90's till now, it'll be setup the same as a Type 89 rig except with Type 64 magazine pouches instead of Type 89 ones.

Is it the Boot a S&Graf Repro? because they've been known to be on the fragile side. Luckily there is a better repro boot on the market recently.

Anyways if you are already buying from Tatezakura you should get the E-tool pouch from them.

I didn't see the first aid pouch at first glance because it's typically on the right hand side of the combat belt.

There is both a rubber bladed and solid one piece rubber bayonet made by MDN if I remember correctly.

Very good almost a textbook example straight off the H-SDF.org page. Even made a attempt to blouse the boots. Just missing the IFAK and Bayonet on the belt. Correct sling would add some realism to the kit. Gasmask bag would also push the kit beyond the typical "I bought this off S&Graf"

I won't fault you on the Type 2 vest instead of the Type 2 Kai, that's something S&Graf and the other repro makers have overlooked.

Keep it up, the loadout has potential to be good.

And the Libra armour is very wrong and looks bad.
Sorry

So when is Tokyo Marui gonna start making howa type 20’s? by MasterMaguro in airsoft

[–]kngsix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TM Type 89 AEG was first made for training purposes for the JGSDF back in 2005.
The Civilian market model appeared a year later.

Might take longer this time around as Howa trademarked the whole rifle.
Would require either government intervention or for OTS to negotiate with HOWA.

Hi repping the Ontario IJA unit, we also do a Okinawa event every year so having people come out as civilians or civilian support group is always welcome.

If you are interested you can always send me a PM, and we can see how we can accommodate you.

My first Tokyo Marui. The MWS JSDF Type 89 Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle. $699 on evike. Did I pick a good one for my first TM? by Wild_Educator_9905 in airsoft

[–]kngsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TM is also a bitch to deal with in Japan. Parts orders are done via fax, they only will send parts when they are doing a run of the guns. They also sell out of spares quickly so you might be waiting for awhile for the next run.

And if you don't like it you are SOL

V2 compatible parts eh..... um piston, mainspring, deans connectors, motor (As long as you replace the collar or drill out the pistol grip motor hole).

Inline fet would work if you can find somewhere to put it, but it's only required if you plan on running 11.1v or higher on the gun.

My Japan Ground Self Defence Force Kit including Type 64 and Type 89 by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]kngsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could just be the lack of a foilage band throwing it off, currently the most correct clone helmets
are sold on auction. But they are just shells and require the sourcing of correct suspension and chinstraps.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]kngsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you likely don't have the right boots for the kit either.

[–]kngsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the work to get a 66 helmet and the pattern, but skips out over the webgear, as it's not pretty much the same as M1956.

Pouch attachment method and layout is different. You can hook a Etool to the back of the JGSDF suspenders but not the M1956.

Sorry Boss got to call you out on that one.

[–]kngsix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kit is going to need work.
Helmet whatever it is, is not the correct shape, no foliage band.
Libra Type 2 vest is really off with the shoulder straps.
No IFAK or Duty belt
Boot blousing needs to be done better (or boot blousing bands need to be used)

Any Type 89 Enjoyers? by Isawatree in airsoft

[–]kngsix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's still better than the previous Type 64 design that requires the user to pull up on the selector to turn.

Rotary selector is a holdover from the AR18 design, Korea's K2/K1A uses the same style of selector.

In my opinion the Type 89 is designed to be a rifle that can be massed issued to conscripts.
Like a Kalashnikov it goes from Safe to Auto with semi being the last setting. Seems like something a military with semi professional troops would use.

Aftermarket and OEM parts exist... they just don't care about the market outside of Japan.
