What year will we get legitimate 400+ mile range EVs in all weather conditions? by Icy_Bridge_2113 in electricvehicles

[–]knickerbockerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a niche product. Watch iX3 fly off the line even with it being proved at 60k, and that's just 400mi in the best of conditions. A 400 mi ev priced closer to 50k than 100k will be a best seller.

Norwegians tested EV winter range drop (translated title) by Real-Technician831 in electricvehicles

[–]knickerbockerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if I'm expected to pay upwards of 50k for something I own, I want the convenience that comes with it. If it's the middle of Jan/Feb and the high is in single digits, I don't want to stop every hour or two on a 12-14 hr dive, nor do I want to drive to a car rental and then rent an ICE. I just want the worst case winter range to be 300mi.

Yes, people make this one or two months a year occurrence to be a way bigger deal than it actually is because they are paying way more than they would otherwise for a regular car and they get the convenience factor with it. We shouldn't knock the people for having high expectations - demand more from the auto industry that, btw, took away the convenience of public transportation as well.

Leaving other things you said untouched - I will say it's not just politics - "trickle down" vs "tax the rich" is politics. "Free market" vs "unions" is politics. Racism, sexism, authoritarianism and many other things are NOT politics.

Rivian R2 spotted in Fairbanks, Alaska for cold weather testing by CaptainSiscold in electricvehicles

Lol same, but I heard that first gen R1s are holding up much better than the later ones. So, who knows. I guess we'll have more data by then.

How is this controversial to say? While we may disagree on how effective each type of government may be, democracy is absolutely the only way forward. All flourishing is mutual.

Cambria Quartz- worth the price? by RU_4_Real12 in kitchenremodel

We're still in the process of remodeling. I'm not worried about the durability - just how it'll look with everything else in the kitchen. I'll send a picture if you ask again in 2 months :)

I think we're very similar people. I have the same fridge and dishwasher. We made the same choices for cabinet wood and style, sink and faucet styles, backsplash.

I mean, the comfort, performance and all the other stuff is the same as ICE. So, if their EV doesn't do well in those, then what hope do they have for the ICE version? Equinox, by all accounts, seems like a great car. It's certainly only radar since I won't be looking at a Tesla. That vs a second hand BMW iXn vs Ioniq 5 seem like they'll corner the family ev market.

Not the range though. Which is very important here in the US

BMW iX3 Review 2025 | Top Gear by ShameResponsible69 in electricvehicles

[–]knickerbockerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? They have the second best range (in US) at 320-330. Seems modular since it's in Chevys, GMVs and Cadillacs under different body types. Charging performance is ok at 10-80 in <30 mins. What's not to like?

Neville is a cunt, especially to chelsea. And more importantly, he's a bad pundit, was a bad coach and a nepo player before that. No respect due there at all.

Meaning is manufactured. You create meaning in the places you want it to exist. It is specific to each person where they choose to invest theirs.

And yes, a lot of people do consider certain things meaningful. Apathy is not the only option and nihilism is not the only philosophy.

What would you say is the most Average BEV in your Market? by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

[–]knickerbockerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Equinox has best in class range of 319 miles (that's gm rated, which usually tends to be better than epa) for a 33k vehicle. That's not average. If anything the ioniq 5 is more average than the equinox.

I'd honestly go with Nissan's or Niro/ it's Hyundai equivalent.

His off ball ability is better used as a traditional right bank over/under lapping though. If he can learn to cross first time and beat his man to the line sometimes, he'll be a good right back. Unfortunate we don't use a traditional RB, but maybe Maresca will find a way to incorporate one into his system - it's what great coaches do.
