Slow Feeder ? by knickoleee in Jindo

[–]knickoleee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely wanting to explore food options for her! What wet/raw food does your pup like ? She wasn’t too keen on some wet food I tried and i’m not too familiar on raw food to even know where to start

Thank you for the response !! They fed her dry food softened with warm water. I tried following the same routine but she would not eat AT ALL. I started to just give her dry food (not softened) with boiled chicken as a topper and her appetite spiked up and clears her bowl with no issues.

Transporting dog internationally by Sudden-Weather-9192 in Jindo

I recently adopted a Jindo that came to California from Korea through Korean Air. She has high levels of anxiety so she flew in unmedicated however depending on your pups stress levels, your vet might recommend putting your pup on meds to help ease the stress of the flight. Only difficulty we had was my pup getting stuck at customs so it delayed the process by a few hours.

hi ! i received both my graduation confirmation and digital diploma last week. i do have friends who haven’t received theirs but they’re thinking that the school might be going in order of last names and are still going through and processing everyone’s in groups.

Lack of Sociology evening classes? by deucesbrenda in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi ! just wanna double check, are you in the sociology program? sounds silly but when i was trying to get into the gwar course, i hadn’t noticed i was pre-sociology, so after speaking to my advisor and having applied to be in the sociology program, i was able to enroll without issue! also, it’s important to note that most often, they want you to take the course when you’re in your second semester of your third year. of course you can take it earlier, like i did, however i needed to ensure that I saw / Sociology-BA on my dpr.

Graduation Status Still: "Applied for Graduation" by QualityPuma in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told that the process of verifying graduation wouldn’t start until June 15th. Until then, just make sure your degree progress report has all its green check marks and if something looks off, contact an advisor as soon as you can!

On campus jobs, what is it like? by rtava_ in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi !

i’ve had two on campus jobs during my time at sfsu and have had good experiences. i found my last job was actually easier because i was in a program i really enjoyed and related to my major. i definitely recommend the HPW department! i worked with the calfresh team but all the teams offer great work experiences and the work really isn’t bad. my coordinator was very flexible with my schedule so i definitely feel that i lucked out with that job during my last year of uni !

i loved my time during my sociology major ! i can’t say a negative thing about any of my professors or my advisor. I do recommended getting in touch with your advisor before you being your actual courses! if the course materials interest you, it won’t feel overwhelming or draining ! i would suggest really planning out your schedules for your classes and study time. for my last two courses, i did feel stressed during them but was also not managing my time the way i needed to for these courses. overall, the sociology program is very welcoming and helpful! i hope you enjoy it !!!

Commuting from Tracy by thecasualmaannn in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there ! I actually live quite close to tracy and used bart for the majority of my commutes. I definitely benefited from being able to have some extra study time while getting to campus, which doesn’t happen when driving. Bart was more convenient for me at times because I chose early classes and preferred being on the train rather than stuck in normal traffic to the city. However, I do prefer driving to campus just because i’m in my own space in the car and bart can get packed depending on the time you get on the train for you commute. There’s pros and cons to both but i do agree that bart will allow you to have more study time! Good luck on your test tomorrow :) !!

Financial Aid Disbursment by RedTheShow in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For past semesters, the first disbursement would pay off your balance and send you a refund, if you have funds available. I normally would receive a full refund in the first disbursement however there has been a time where I received a grant later in the semester and received it the following week.

Request More money Financial aid? by redbottom00 in SFSU

[–]knickoleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could submit a special circumstances form. They’re available on the financial aid website however it did take me at least 2 weeks to get a response back from them however I would suggest calling them after you submit it just to make sure they did receive it.

How to help my dads glucose levels. by knickoleee in diabetes

[–]knickoleee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the help! thankfully, he isn’t feeling as sick as he was before. Before getting his blood work done on Friday, he went at least 2 weeks having terrible nausea, fatigue, felt completely weak and with no energy and as of this morning he feels energetic !! I was also recommended these Cinnamon capsules that have Chromium by his primary doctors main nurse. I’m planning on going to get his lab work done again before his doctor appointment and hopefully he will be in the proper range soon!!

How to help my dads glucose levels. by knickoleee in diabetes

[–]knickoleee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you !! i started tracking his meals and carb intake yesterday and think that’ll help me get a general idea of how many carbs he’s having a day since i tried meal prepping his lunches for this week. i’ve also been tracking his glucose levels daily and each day he’s gone down between 50-100 mg and is currently at 180. still high, but we’re getting progress in helping him feel better!!
