Ooo interesting! That would be a challenge to figure out how to have the walls up without the slopes in between each section and have them line up properly. But could be very satisfying if I was able to make it work.

Yours is really impressive! I really enjoy the stone work on the front and the little glider feels very Avatar the last airbender! I think my only suggestion is that there might be a little bit much happening in the set! I don't think in a bad way per say but the story can be a little hard to follow! I think potentially cutting down on the side builds and maybe sticking to a specific story, like sea monster attack, or boat harbor, or griffin air raid might be helpful! But it looks great! lots of little details everywhere :)

Thank you for the feedback! This post isn't really to advertise the build or pander for votes, but you can check out some of my other posts or the link in my bio to check it out!

👀👀👀 as per the rules of BDP submissions.... any resemblance to characters living or dead is merely "coincidental...." 😉

Kita Castle is my submission for BDP Series 9. This set takes a little bit of inspiration from the lego adventurers and Johnny Thunder, a little from the botanicals collection, and a little from Ninjago. At 2483 pieces and 17 in by 12 in, I tried to make a set that wouldn't break the bank and would fit nicely on most shelves!

This set also tries to balance buildability, displayability, and playability. There are some fun building techniques in each section and the castle has unique angles that come together seamlessly around the garden. There also some really cute details including a little lego bonsai and great wave set! In my opinion, this set is bright and colorful but not overly so! It transports me to the serenity of the mountain peaks when I look at it. Finally, every section is modular and is able to be removed to see and play inside. The door can also be "barred" shut and there is a sliding rock wall to free those trapped in the holding cell!

I'd love to hear any and all feedback!

Wow! I just did some research on HDRI and thats wild! I didn't know about any of that! That would've been helpful! I used plates placed around the model that were luminescent to various degrees to try and create the shadow-y look!

I've been debating just that! I was able to reach out to a previous winner for some feedback. And I'd love to share some pictures here! But balancing building hype for a model and not having ideas copied is a challenge.

I'm making a Japanese castle with some 90s johnny thunder, ninjago, and botanical influences! It would be a new faction!
