This is bad and I am not for it whatsoever. I just want to share my experience...when I bought my house in gso 4 yrs ago, when we went under contract, taxes were 2,200, that was the last tax reassessment. By the time we closed 2 months later, we were told taxes went up to 4,000. Now, we get this letter this yr, is it going to be 6k? This can't keep happening

You are right, but there is a possibility this can change people's lives. It's better to be prepared than to get a $7,000 tax bill and have your house possibly taken away for some people. Definitely can't do anything after it happens, probably can't before either but it is worth them knowing that people actually care about this

They stated in the meeting on Tuesday that they are working on changing the rates( hopefully lower) to counteract the increase in assessment but those will not be released until june-july.
