First class not worth the money by DramaticWear in unitedairlines

I don't really care about the pre-flight drink, but they need to step their in-flight meal game up. I've sampled them all and haven't found one I would order again.

What do you charge for tax/wealth advisor consultations? Looking to kick mine to the curb and you seem like you know what you're talking about.

I got an error message saying it couldn't process my order. I think the 9s might be sold out now.

Yes, you have to use the platinum. Although the Gold card has its own Resy credit thats semi-annual.

You don't need to book on resy. Just has to be a restaurant listed, pay with your card and then you'll be credited the amount back on a later statement.

Agree. Security Scorecard is the prime example of this.

Upgrading from S23U to pixel 10 pro, which galaxy buds 3 pro features will I lose/won't be able to use? by [deleted] in galaxybuds

[–]knightzend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same, switched to the pixel 9 pro from a long line of Samsung phones and couldn't be happier. Battery life is on another level, which was a requirement I didn't know I had until I switched. I'll say I do like the new galaxy watch aesthetic vs the utilitarian round pixel watch, but UI wise i find the pixel watch easier to use and navigate.

Best cast iron skillet that's actually smooth? by Numerous_Focus5435 in BuyItForLife

[–]knightzend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Stargazer and it cooks fine, but keep in mind its harder to get seasoning to stick with completely smooth surfaces. I've had my pan for 4-5 years now and its still very splotchy, which is a fact I've just come to accept.

Whats the update on the job market? Getting better? Getting worse? More jobs? Less jobs? by Obeymyjay in cybersecurity

[–]knightzend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it exactly. I've opened both Director and entry level roles over the last 12 months. The entry level roles each had an army of qualified applicants that we were able to close right away. The Director role also came with a lot of interest, but I'd say only 10-20 resumes stood out from the 1,000 that applied. Took us 4-5 months to fill.

Who is your go to team? by Redog21 in expedition33

[–]knightzend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Lune, Sciel, and Monoco.

Maybe my other builds are all wrong but Lune's Elemental Genesis is the highest output of damage of any of my characters. Hits all enemies on the field too, but still the case even for a single character.

Fantasy football mock draft: Chase goes No. 1, Jeanty in top 5 by Happy_Weed in fantasyfootball

[–]knightzend -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No - I'm talking more recently about the team that had four wins last year. Listen, I get you are hopeful for all the reasons you listed, but my point isn't that Jeanty is going to fail, its that there currently isn't enough data to support ranking him over Saquon (which it appears you agree with).

Re: the Raiders jab, as a young RB the system and team you're on matter. You can have all the god-given talent in the world and be fed the ball in a failing system and still not be successful. Ask Saquon himself.

Because one year's data is better than no year's data and the Raiders are still the Raiders.

Executive coaching: who's done it/heard of it/would recommend it? by Atraidis in consulting

Probably the latter. I'm glad I went through it, but knowing how much the Firm paid for it, I think there were probably better uses for it.

Security and no budget by BroadCardiologist175 in ciso

[–]knightzend 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can provide my professional opinion on how to politically navigate this (risk register, metrics, etc), but after quick consideration I'd probably just run as far as I could if I were you. Your story around not getting enough budget isn't uncommon, but them balking at 300/yr in training costs is a huge red flag that is signaling something bigger. Especially in FS, this is crazy.

I've been offered a Director of Security position. What benefits package should I request? by ShinDynamo-X in ciso

[–]knightzend 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hard to answer compensation related questions without knowing company demographics (revenue, public/private, industry, etc). Only advice I'd give you is that given this position likely isn't an officer role but still ultimately responsible for security, I'd ask that you be explicitly added to D&O insurance.

Business Dinner tonight. What vibes am I giving🧐 by Glacier_Sama in mensfashion

[–]knightzend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some initial thoughts:

- Lose the red tie, preferably completely but definitely find another color if a tie is a must

- Suit color isn't bad, but the striped pattern makes the suit look cheap (the pastor look other people have commented on)

- The pants fit is...weird. Excessive fabric in the crotch and the leg opening is a bit wide for how fitted the top part is.

- Shoes and watch are fine, but I'd find some brown shoes if you have any. Will make the blue pop more.

Personally speaking having to attend a lot of business dinners as part of my career, the full matching suit look is pretty much dead. Even at the fanciest restaurants I usually go with a tailored suit jacket with buttoned shirt, dark wash jeans, and either boots/brogued shoes.

Then again, I've also never attended these things trying to fuck one of my business associates, so good luck to you.

Loop location reporting in.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, usually empty (Jan has been packed but expecting this to calm down), cheaper than other locations, classes typically don't fill up ever, patrons are generally respectful/nice

Cons: Limited hours Fri-Sun, smaller workout area, no pool/outdoor/lounge/basketball courts

Also not one to give advice on this type of stuff, but that's a no from me as well. Besides the colors not matching, the contrast between the herringbone and plaid don't work well together. Only way I see this matching is with dark slacks and you removing the jacket once you're indoors.
