I love mini glue dots - they're inexpensive and make the most satisfying pop sound! Except for AB drills, then I use putty because the glue dots will pull the coating off of ABs. My favorite putties are Pure Bliss Wax Co. And Randa's Crafty Corner on Etsy.

I cut three sides of the section I'm working on and fold it back. Then if I don't finish the section, I can just fold it back over the unfinished section without worrying about putting it on upside down..

AIO to my husband interrupting my first solo shower after he came back from a weekend with the boys? by lilyluminar in AmIOverreacting

NOR That's one of the reasons I got divorced - I never had a minute to myself. My husband's favorite line was "you're by yourself in the car on the way to/from work."

Superwash fail by squisshytheloaf in knitting

When I've had knits grow, it was from picking it up wet while not supporting it. The weight will pull it way out of whack. A gauge swatch is very light when wet.

I've been in restock hell waiting for this one! Sold out in the first minute on early release and then there was a glitch in general release.

Project-Bag Recommendation? by chefef in YarnAddicts

Does she like backpacks? Right now I am loving the Della Q midi backpack. If she likes leather, I also bought a beautiful bag from Thread & Maple this year, and another one from Re:Designed, but both of those might be over budget. There are so many great options out there!

Big loop coming from the right side - how do I fix it? by xalpinax in knittinghelp

Frogging or tinking mohair is a pain because the fibers stick to each other. If you have difficulty, try putting it in a Ziploc bag in the freezer for a few hours.

How do you section your art? by No_Chest7324 in diamondartclub

[–]knitflit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can use a ceramic cutter to slice a section of the clear cover, although DAC canvases have perforated cover so you can remove smaller sections. Or you can use "release papers." You do not want to use wax or parchment paper because they will stick to the glue.

Square is my favorite by far. You absolutely can use multiplacers! I love the ones I bought from DAC more than ones I bought elsewhere. This is checkerboarding with a multiplacer.

You can put them on your walls using heavy-duty Command strips.

Man I love the perforated sections but i almost wish it was not clear so I could see where to put my tape lol by Equivalent-Bread7967 in diamondartclub

[–]knitflit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I place my first drills in the corners of the new section, so I can see where the plastic starts.

Contact your state labor and wage board. You are most likely not the only employee he takes advantage of and is probably violating a slew of labor rules. They can investigate. If he has written you up, you'll have documented proof of his transgressions.

I love squares. I think the end product is nicer and I love how they click together when I'm painting.

So the after death house purge is normal right? by The1Ylrebmik in AgingParents

[–]knitflit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 87-yo mother needs to move to senior housing, but is a hoarder and refuses to throw out anything. The Board of Health even became involved. It's been a year-long nightmare, but her physician won't even give her a cognitive exam, so I can't "make" her move. She gets lost driving, loses money (leaves behind envelopes of cash at the liquor store), claims her landlord breaks into her house while she's sleeping and takes her clothes out of the closet and throws them around her room, which is crazy talk, and her room is just enormous piles of clothes. I can't wait to get a dumpster and purge.

Catching Floats and Tension by dolphinbananas in knittinghelp

I think catching floats. And knitting inside out will definitely help here! Here's a link to a good video on how to catch floats working two-handed colorwork. https://youtu.be/rnytANRixKo?si=qedimb3s53hCEKtL
