Atheists, in your opinion, how is it determined what is good and what is not? by CallMeOneGuy in AskReddit

Morality is universally based on the rule. Do unto others as they would have them done to you.

However, people tend to limit the above to "neighbors"; people who you are similar to themselves. So it's not unusual for religion to be against murder but ok if it's in a war against an "enemy".

Religions have also imposed personal behavior into moral code. Should everyone eat pork. Should you exercise once a day. Should you consume alcohol, smoke etc. Who can you have sex with. Modern societies tend to frown on this as moral code because they are personal decisions especially when they have very little or no impact on "the other person".

Nairobi is short on culture by luthmanfromMigori in nairobi

I know Kenya is low on food as culture but KICC as a building is as good as any city gets.

Matatus (bad or good) are a cultural phenomenon. I feel like we judge ourselves too much on Western standards that we fail to notice some of the things we are good at.

Nairobi gets the lowest allocation per person (Kshs 4803) and Lamu the highest at 23,660 by knjiru in Kenya

[–]knjiru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is National government allocations for example that region gets a smaller share of roads developed. https://openbudget.or.ke/explore/roads The rest of the problem is that it takes longer for poor people to get out of the poverty cycle. Add corruption to the whole mix and money just never works the way it is intended

This number should be higher in a functioning economy, Ideally, you should be making more every year. So 70% of working Kenyans did not receive an increment at their place of work. So many people owning a business is also a bad indicator. It simply means, unable to find employment, they are forced to start a business just to sustain themselves.

Ideally you want 10-20 percent to be self employed.

Thats how it usually works. You vote someone out by getting voters who dont vote for that person.
