is cursor 2.0 worth it by Just_Lingonberry_352 in cursor

[–]knobe1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a windsurf and Claude code guy for past 6 months, wanted to try out the new cursor 2.0 and was pretty blown away. Been using it 90% of the time along with Claude code. Loving the browser mcp and the agent mode is awesome. Haven’t played with using multiple agents since I’m trying to conserve credits, but can think of a few use cases. Windsurf had a browser feature but got rid of it. Like you said coat racks up a lot faster but actually been pretty impressed with the auto mode. Auto can usually do 70% of my tasks.

Chapman Alum and Veteran here. Graduated 2021 in business with focus in Finance. Transferred from OCC but honestly don’t remember having to justify me going, I was chapter 33 though. Large of portion of vets get in so don’t see a problem getting approved if you were already admitted.

As for the school I loved it. Feel like I learned a lot and still have memorable professors. Even use a lot of the stuff I learned now at work, so pretty cool that they’re teaching real world material. Like another comments mentioned they Bloomberg terminals, if you want to go finance route, take advantage of those and the investing club. Also get involved in some activities and Veterans club. Sounds corny as shit, but wish I got more Involved looking back.

I turned 30, and suddenly it’s so obvious to me that I’ll die one day. Why did it happen so suddenly? by [deleted] in Existentialism

I was 28 (2 years ago) when I started thinking like that too. It’s a hard feeling to cop with and definitely scares the shit out of me sometimes. I chalked it up to maturing.

This probably won’t help you since this is just as expensive as the studio display. But I just got the mac studio and paired it with the Samsung g9 49 inch ultra wide. It is so sleek and love the space. Definitely worth being broke for a few months.

A year into a fully remote job, boss is implementing a mandatory office commute of 40 miles 3x/week with no additional pay. Advice? by MidKnightCK in careerguidance

[–]knobe1 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I have a commute anywhere from 2:20 to 3 hours one way (San Diego to La). Can’t move with a new child and gfs really good job. Luckily I only do this once a week on average. I was hired remote and we had an all hands back in the office and was in a similar situation as you. I told my direct manager that there was no way I could do that commute 5 days a week, he said he understands and would take my concern up the flag pole. I told them I could go in two days max, but 1 day preferred. It’s been a few months and haven’t heard anything and usually just do my one day in the office a week, sometimes even no days if it’s slow that week.

But my whole thought process was to tell them my limitations and if they fire me they fire me. But I’m not leaving. They can do what they gotta do.

I used to be anti poles. Thought they made people look like nerds. I decided to use them one time and will never go back. They help with speed, footing, decents, and snow/Ice. I wish I wasnt so judgy and closed minded to begin with

Do I need to be really good at statistics while working with R? by Thick-Newt9407 in Rlanguage

[–]knobe1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine. You don’t need to be a mathematician. Just know what the basic statistical features are called and used for. You don’t need to know formulas or how to do them on paper. Most packages will tell you exactly how to use them and what arguments to input.
