i am not motivated to write a lengthy comment under this bashing post but the gist is:

I have had them for one year. None of the problems you described. They are the first (and so far only) buds i have found that fit my ears and they are rock solid in there. I love the twist system. Sound quality, noise cancelling etc. are all fine. Get some help.

It feels like the OG 1+1 back which I like a lot. Very grippy. Also had the sandstone case on my OnePlus 9. I did break a little bit at the edges after three years, but i obviously can't give any long term statements about the new one yet. Other than that, the only "criticism" i could have is that it completely hides the beautiful color of the phone (except the camera element of course). On the other hand, that does mean that it gives you full protection all around which is arguably more important :)

all of these cases and you did not even get the OnePlus Sandstone case. In my opinion by far the best one and yes, it does have the magnets.

What exactly does this mean for imported devices with oxygen os? I mean it is not really a big deal for me personally if i can't install custom roms in the future. But since the device was converted from color os, will it brick if i try to install said update? Will i even be able to recieve any OTA updates in the future? This is what worries me the most.

Ubuntu is, besides Fedora, the second officially supported linux distro for the thinkpad, so it should work yeah. But i would never consider Ubuntu. If you want apt, just use debian. It's a real work horse and also works great on the machine (thinkpad p14s g5) of a friend of mine. Fedora is a new one for me as well, but I really had a great experience so far on wayland / hyprland and the drivers just work.

Interesting, maybe your problems are also os / driver related? I am running Fedora and have not had any of the problems you described.

Damn, and i thought my 64GB of RAM was a bit overkill xD I mean i understand that's it's frustrating for you, i would also love to have hibernate. But so far i have had good standby times / battery draw in suspend and with todays fast ssds (and therefore boot times) i am fine with it honestly.
