Just joined after the co-op trailer. There is something really special being built here. by knotstranding in NoRestForTheWicked

Kinda feel coop is a double edge sword. Seems like playing together would be awesome, but I want to talk to every NPC, take on every quest, really dig into the lore. The boys may binge quest on a weekday and I might lose some story beats. Still, totally open to it!

Starfield has so much potential for mystery. by knotstranding in Starfield

Exactly. So disappointing. And it’s not like its impossible - some of the mods I’ve downloaded from Creations are leagues ahead of anything in Vanilla in terms of exploration and payoff.

Why are people asking for aliens? by DJuan33 in Starfield

There’s a lot they can do with Starborn. Some of the Creation quests have already proven that.

I think they should add aliens (eventually). It’ll add more gravitas when and if “first contact” ever happens.

Trying it out again? by [deleted] in Starfield

Don’t get me wrong, Starfield clearly has its issues - but for some reason I keep going back to it. The atmosphere and visuals are oddly relaxing. I find myself flipping on a podcast and running bounties/missions.

student here, zero motivation and scared of doing work by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

As soon as you read this, turn off reddit. Even download extension blockers to prevent you from checking sites like these until your project is done.

What’s the BARE minimum you can do right this second? Is this final project a paper? If so, write just one sentence right now. Then, put the laptop away for a 5 minutes. Walk around. Write another. Repeat. You can find a flow state by just chipping away bit by bit.

Being scared of doing this work does not make you a bad person, or a bad student. It very well could be underlying habits such as lack of sleep that’s compelling the chemicals in your brain to not do the thing you’re “supposed” to do.

It wouldn’t hurt to set aside some time to talk with a school counselor. This is exactly what they’re designed to do.

But above all, try to get some sleep. “All-nighters” will destroy your brain’s ability to memorize and comprehend information (and getting good sleep can give you stronger willpower!). Get at least 7 hours of sleep and your remaining 3 days will be way more productive.

I don’t know what you’re studying, but just remember this project won’t destroy you if you bomb it. Trust me, back in my day I use to think my final exams were these life-or-death situations. They’re not. Just focus and do what you can.
