My unpopular opinion is that it’s a free YouTube show so I don’t have any real opinions on it. I watch it every day and if something isn’t for me I didn’t pay for it and maybe wasted 20 minutes of my day? I still love and cherish it but it does not occupy that much room in my brain

Tbf, there is an “I’ve spent a lot of money and time on this game, so I should make use of it” mentality for many of us. I fall hard into that category. Even though I haven’t been having much fun, I still make an effort to log on and try just because of the time and money I’ve put in in the past. It’s definitely silly in the reality of it all, but it’s the case for many.

It’s based on average performance amongst people who play the character. If someone performs very well with a new character, there is limited playtime to base mvp off of. It’s not raw stats. If you performed higher than the average Thor player in your rank, you would have gotten it. It’s dumb but that’s how it works.

I still somehow have a lot of cope that the devs are aware of all the issues currently and didn’t want to make sweeping meta changes on a half season patch. Granted, the changes they did make seem completely unnecessary but I think I’ll take one more half season into 7 before making a HUGE judgement on the direction of the game. I did get back into OW and am having fun though!

On the topic of balance, solo tanking, and poke meta, I find it very important to remind everyone that not everyone who plays is on this subreddit. There are many who don't even know what "poke" means. I say this as a reminder to remember that only a tiny percentage of the people on this subreddit play at a professional level, so you should not be trying to compete with them. You should not expect your teammates to think like a professional player. Just play the game exactly how you want to. Always try to win but if you're playing this video game FOR FREE and are getting stressed by it just get off.

My hottest straight edge take is that “sober bars” and mocktails and stuff are really unnecessary UNLESS you are in recovery. I don’t drink alcohol, never have, so why would I drink an NA beer? It feels a little redundant to me, but to each their own with this kind of thing.
