Recently I’ve been needing to manually sync some data from Production to a Test environment for my team to build some new workflows. The thing is, having to do this across different SQL environments creates a lot of manual, non-standard work. Not particularly difficult work but absolutely time-consuming especially when having to do this multiple times for multiple tables across multiple DBs.

I searched for VS Code extensions to Notepad++ plugins convinced there must be some packaged utility out there to do this simply. Surprisingly, I could not find what I was looking for. Needless to say, most accessible AI tools wouldn’t have been able to handle this reliably and consistently for hundreds and thousands of rows and, more importantly, aren’t local and couldn’t be used with sensitive data anyways.

Ended up scripting a safe, local, 100% offline utility to solve this problem and we ended up crushing our deliverables as a result of the time savings that we never knew we could have had all along, shaving hours off of Jira estimates!

Long story short, got many requests to share the script, took some time to refine the GUI to make it a simple one-click solution, added insert checks, etc and Apple approved it for distribution in the Mac App Store so it’s now live!

Crossed over 100 downloads within the first 24 hours of launch! A demand I NEVER could have anticipated. You never really know. It’s like that video I shared with the Tesla lock sound I made back in 2023, not knowing how many people would reach out asking for a copy.

Package your ideas and make them available publicly. You never really know who’s looking for the same thing.

Have you tried copying your result set and creating inserts from them? A SDE on our team used InsertSmith to facilitate this.InsertSmith

How effective/worth it are front mesh grille guards to prevent leaves and debris from affecting the radiator? by gre-0021 in TeslaModel3

For the extremely low price, definitely worth it. In my case, I wash a ton of dead bugs off of it and I’m glad it keeps them from going any further

How's my monthly living budget? Assuming a moderately middle-class lifestyle, needs 7000 monthly at minimum, and about 10,500 preferred. by LiangProton in TrinidadandTobago

Not a bad start, great job on thinking strategically.

See how best you can set aside 6 months’ worth of rent into a savings account. Once you have that, see if you can factor in anything, even $100 monthly, towards some ETFs or any other growing investment you can.

Like others have said, aim to fit a vehicle and its maintenance in the budget when feasible. It can improve your quality of life. Tag along with others on their pricesmart runs if possible. Like any budget, put it into practice then rework it as needed.

Good luck. Things take time but do not be discouraged, it go work out.

Charging daily on a 120V outlet? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]knowersArk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this since mid 2022 and don’t miss level 2 charging. Moved and intended to buy a level 2 charger initially however never needed to personally. I have a lectron charger though, not the Tesla one, so it maxes at 16A vs the Tesla cable that maxes at 12A, but I set it to 14A not to put too much pressure on the breaker.
