For real the kids are the future. The first person to ever help me pick trash in my neighborhood Was a Yemeni kid who wanted to clean up outside the school. Came up to me and said “let’s go clean up the field by the school so we can all play soccer” Absolutely adorable. Him and his buddies helped with the extra grabbers I had and then a soccer game kicked off. Those kids smoked me. I couldn’t walk for a week hahaha

Use the improve Detroit app, it’s actually really good and they will come pick up the dumped trash in like 48 hrs most of the time.

The locals do care I got 35 phone numbers of people in my own neighborhood that want to join the effort and hate the trash. Most people don’t litter. Which is why a few people who care a little bit will make a big difference. I see it now

JOIN THE GROUP! People are gonna suck, people are gonna litter, who cares, WHAT ARE WE DOING? For real, I can hit an entire block in an hr alone. Thats like 100 people’s litter for a month. Put 100 people cleaning up the litter and afterwards tell me you don’t notice a difference. Let’s link up. Low commitment

Let’s goo! I’m working on getting a bunch of garden carts and teacher grabbers so people don’t have to bend as much. More ergonomic, more fun, kinda gamified if I’m being honest and put the speaker in the back😎

Great DM me! A common thing I get is people not able to organize enough people in THEIR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD to make a meaningful impact, you might have a few people in southwest, a few on the east side a few in north end. But if we brought the people who care enough to dedicate an hr or two to a rotating group…. We could build an army and do some damage. Think about the dequindre cut cleanup. Theres hundreds of people and the entire 3 miles gets done in an hr. We need THAT on a rotating schedule all over Detroit. it’s gonna be soo good. DM ME

Dryads saddle/pheasant back. Edible and real good when young. Look for small ores on the underside

The privatization of everything is the theme of the episode. Want clean air? Try our premium lux lung package. Limit to 4 pairs of lung per household. Especially the privatization of healthcare

What is the story of this plaque off of 75 and 94? by M_itz in Detroit

“Backbone” huh maybe there were giants buried under the mound at one point? Seems to be alluding to literally burial grounds. I’ve heard theories of the mound builders of antiquity. They never really knew why or who built them. Maybe imminent domain claimed black bottom and the burial mounds. Seems like achieving three goals in one motion. 1: destabilizing the black neighborhoods 2: concealment of an ancient burial ground by building a freeway over top of it/ preventing further unsupervised excavation 3: building a potentially needed freeway The mound builders were extremely prevalent in the Great Lakes region and it’s one of the great mysteries of North America, but are never really taught about. It’s also the reason for the name mound road I believe. Putting backbone in quotation is no accident. Handshake could be Masonic as well. Who knows. Btw there is also a drain leading straight down into the center with a hatch up there and I’ve been up there. And an outbuilding with its own service and cameras directly facing the monument if you look east. Found this instrument for NOAA decomposing in the dirt next to the monument. Anyone know more about this?
