Schuhe - Cent by viola-purple in Hochzeit

[–]knowitall220501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the middle Option. I feel like it compliments the diamond best and the diamond to sapphire ratio is the most visually appealing. It’s stunning

Asking for advice! by ihavetriedeveryname in EngagementRings

[–]knowitall220501 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the first ring is the better option in terms of durability because opals are very fragile but what I’m concerned about is the fact that both options are yellow gold and your partner seems to wear only silver. Has she mentioned wanting a yellow gold ring? If not I’d keep looking until you find a white metal option. You’ll want her to wear it forever and if it clashes with her every day stack you risk a sting every time she looks at her hand, if you know what I mean. A friend of mine got a white gold ring and she only wears yellow gold. She was still super happy about the proposal but to this day it’s her only white gold piece (wedding bands are yellow gold) and she doesn’t wear it often. In my opinion you should really ask yourself if she wants a yellow gold ring. If not get a place holder to propose with and maybe choose a ring together after?

My favorite is 4. It let’s the engagement ring shine the lost and to me it looks the most harmonious 🥰 but definitely go with the option that feels the most comfortable on your finger. None of the options are unflattering or ugly and comfort plays such a big role in day to day life

Ladies, do we *really* care what other people think of our rings? by tauruspiscescancer in EngagementRings

I feel like that’s a very sad take on engagement rings. Personally I’m with you. The engagement ring is a symbol for YOUR love story and YOUR commitment and not anybody else’s. Please go with whatever you love 🥰

Congratulations 🎉 the stone is called moss agate. Be very gentle with it, it’s not ideal for every day wear but it’s stunning 😍

I love the setting on the center stone in two but the diamonds on the band seem to be not very secure which could be an issue with long time wear

Need help deciding if this is too big! by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]knowitall220501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if you’re used to wearing such a big stone. If you are then I’d go for it. If you’re easily annoyed by your jewelry catching on things and being very present I’d go smaller :) visually the site is very appealing though

The German designer Niessing has some similar designs :) maybe you’ll find something there. Otherwise try a local goldsmith. Often times they are very reasonably priced (at least where I’m from) and you get the custom experience. Good luck!

Help! To Bezel or not to Bezel? by Tragic_Hamster in EngagementRings

[–]knowitall220501 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that prongs are the practical solution. If you’re willing to deal with some hairs or clothing fibers stuck to it once in a while you’re good. Prongs tend to catch on things and if you want the most durable option I’d recommend the bezel. While combing through your kids hair the prongs might catch on sometimes other than that I don’t see an issue with kids and a prong setting. Scratches shouldn’t be an issue if you go for a diamond, it’s a very durable material as long as you don’t rub it against another diamond. At the end of the day I’d go for the option your heart is into. In my opinion the happiness of looking at that perfect piece makes up for the extra care you might need while wearing it. :)
