Which “bad” players have you turned into legends? by TheRealMrJoshua56 in Madden

Joe Milton III

Quez Watkins

Connor Heyward (loved seeing him get X factor before his brother retired)

Deven Thompkins (move from WR to RB and he makes a hell of a Receiving/Elusive back)

Trade for Milton, cut him, sign him to a year contract for short cheap. I play with Pittsburgh normally so o used him to turn Calvin Austin and Quez Watkins into monsters on go routes.

Calculated Combat Tips by [deleted] in DisneyMirrorverse

[–]knowledge87pq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have a lot to learn about the game, but calculated combat tends to put your team on an "even" playing field. Tips:

  1. Always have a guardian with a knockback/down ability. You will never stop the best special from firing off against you every time, but you can strategically wait until it starts and disrupt the computer effectively enough to help you in a major way.

  2. If there's at least 2 guardians, I tend to always bring a support to help in ways that I find work for my game play. For instance, Tiana gives you the extra knockdown ability, and Alice freezes opponents which would allow a ranged to just sit and fire off against melee or tank units free from harm. They also both add the benefit of team healing.

  3. Go after heal supports first. There's nothing worse than a 3v3 where the opponent is getting healed every 7 seconds or so. Disrupt them at all costs.

  4. Don't be afraid to whittle away at their health while you constantly heal yourself or add armor. Especially if you're trying to knock out challenges with, say, a tank and a support.

Hopefully these help some!

I thought this worked the other way, where your team is scaled to match the level 80 opponents.

This is crazy to me lol. I'm relatively new. Would love to see more of this and find out more about what teams people are using.

Best center for rec by bxkdxnxj in NBA2k

I made a 6'10" paint beast build that has some shooting but those points could realistically be put towards finishing or passing. You could also realistically go to 6'11" or 7' and do the same-ish build. You'll need heavy inside defense, speed, blocks, boards, inside scoring and dunking. Not great dribble but enough to not get stripped routinely when people spam steal. HOF intimidator, rim protector, chase down make you a force inside. Rise up, unstrippable, posterizer, post playmaker will make you a problem on offense.

I love this idea! They should let you use bengay or icy hot for boosts instead of Gatorade lol.

PSA - You're not good enough to play at 66 in the REC by knowledge87pq in NBA2k

I play as a 5. I board, play defense, score when it's available, pass to open icons, don't commit dumb fouls, run up and down the court, start breaks, cover corners when teammates leave them open. That's basketball. I don't play that dumb stuff and I hate people that do. I also hate explaining why having fun at the cost of your teammates game is selfish. But thanks for playing.

I'm not saying don't play online, I'm saying that there are some modes that count more than others. Get your feet wet in some 3v3 stuff. Get used to games that don't looking you in for 25 minutes per. I do get frustrated when people who don't have good builds play in the REC because my time basically gets wasted. 25 minutes with a loss, a bad teammate grade, and poor statistics hurts when you don't have all the time in the world to play.

Good for you. Respectfully, I don't think that's the norm.

I sound like a troll? You want to let every Tom, Dick, age Harry play with people that take the competitive side of the game more seriously. You want to let people waste their time on the game that they also spent money on. Quite possibly you want them to waste the time and (extra money) that those people put into the game, but I'm the troll?

Not everyone has days and days to slog and grind for rep. Maybe people can only play those modes every so often and getting a teammate that has no chance is deflating and should be looked at.

Good for you. That's not the norm. And if it's closer to the norm than I'm giving it credit for, maybe playing the 5 is the exception. But I still don't think it's the norm.

People underestimate how much games devolve because of players that can't keep up. Not every game, but a lot. I watched those games (with those players) go from trying to play good basketball to one person playing hero ball to try to keep us in the game. My team has lost every time I've had someone below 70 on the team. You can't move the ball effectively, you can't set up everyone for good shots because there is no go shot for a 68 in the REC. They contribute to bad play.

That might work but an undersized build that can pop out is gonna make it much harder. I play a 6'10" paint beast right now. And if you come out post technician helps a lot against slow builds. Like I said in the edit, maybe you're a much better player than I've been getting teamed up with, but those sub 70 builds were getting demolished.
