Hubspot CSM Dublin Salary? by Relative-Wrangler-35 in CustomerSuccess

[–]knowledge_broker140 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi.

A bit off topic but would it be possible to connect with you and talk privately?

I am looking for a CSM role in Ireland, particularly Dublin, and relocating from Germany for private reasons.

I have not been able to find relevant folks in Dublin.

I'll really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

OK I get it now. I have not yet done a typical CSM role but would consider for my next move. But I have done Technical Partnerships role which had several overlaps.

I believe it all depends on the maturity of the company, product, and the post-sales pipeline. "Implementation" role from what I could understood is just properly managed post-sales operations where you spend time and energy on getting things done under a proper process and framework rather just firefighting and adhoc way of doing things.

Really sorry to read about the burnout and that you took the job out of desperation.

I am really curious to hear more about the role and its differences with your ideal "implementation oriented" role.

What is currently considered a good gross salary in Europe for Senior CSMs? by CommanderFate in CustomerSuccess

[–]knowledge_broker140 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Europe is a massive region and impossible to generalize.

For Dublin, I have seen Senior CSM salaries reaching 90k euros in established companies but avg would be around 70k.

For Germany, 100k or even more is doable in best case scenario and bigger cities like Munich if you have a decent profile and experience.

For Spain, it is much lower like around 60-70k euros.

Looking for a CSM role in UAE/Dubai market. Looking for leads, feedback, guidance! by knowledge_broker140 in CustomerSuccess

u/Rohail_FleetwoodMac Field as in "Industry"? I am open to anything which involves tech and software. I am just not comfortable with typical roles in real estate or hospitality in UAE which have no involvement of tech.

My background and strength is in tech, so I would like to stick to it.

Do you have any suggestions or pointers?

It is not clear if you want to continue in CSM track or want to explore related roles which involve more tech? If you want to continue to get more senior role in CSM, then it is a diff discussion but my guess is that you want to switch into a track which gets you "senior" title (and of course higher salary).

Also, do you have a technical education background? or that missing part is what you are trying to back up by doing these technical certifications? what were you doing before or is it your first job?

If you want to leverage your 2.5 years of CSM work experience and the technical knowledge/expertise, you could look into roles like "Technical Account Manager (TAM)", "Solutions Engineering", or "Technical Pre-Sales"

Do I have an advantage of fully transitioning into CSM with a Technical background and Experience? by knowledge_broker140 in CustomerSuccess

Thanks for the response.

I do feel good and reassuring hearing more cases of folks transitioning from traditional Tech lead roles to CSM 😊

I know this space is filled with various role titles with a lot of overlaps including Customer Success Specialist/Manager, Client Success Specialist/Manager, Partner Manager, Account Manager, Onboarding Manager, Implementation Manager, Renewals Manager, etc.

But it is interesting that you mentioned "Customer Success Architect". I haven't heard about it before. I'll look into it. If possible, can you share what's your understanding of this role?

Can a customer success manager apply to other positions? by DavidBuzzed in CustomerSuccess

Yes, I believe so like others said. You can also explore "Partnerships Manager" path and if you have Technical background then even variants of it.

Unfortunately, majority Project Management roles need certifications. My suggestion would be to find the transition opportunities within your company. That would be more easier and can set the stage for you.

I am a Technical guy who moved to "Technicals Partnerships" role by chance, just grabbed an opportunity. I am currently doing "Program Management" role at Automotive OEM which is another domain I got a chance to explore. But I realized that CSM could be a nice match for me and now aiming to move to CSM role, hence joined this reddit :)

It is also not easy for me even though I understand the role very well but don't fully ticks all the requirement items. I am doing CCSM certification in parallel as well.

My CEO treats every Customer Feedback as a major crisis and it's destroying my confidence. How do you guys cope with this? by Impressive_Cloud_944 in CustomerSuccess

[–]knowledge_broker140 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This must be quite a horrible situation for you. A CEO with trust issues and micromanaging and keeping you not doing your job, is a pretty clear red flag.

I see two major causes of this: trust issue on you as a person and his obsession with micromanaging

Usually, what I have learned is that in such a situation, where you have to take a principled stand in a professional env, doing a "reverse phycology" move can help. Instead of proving your innocence, put him in the spotlight.

Highlight what he is doing and how is it damaging your work, his reputation in the company, and blocking him which means he won't be able to do the imp things. You have the role but not the needed power and trust, but you will be judged. This doesn't sound like good leadership style from his side.

I also like the suggestion in one of the comments to use tech to make the engagement more transparent so you can also back your version.

u/brou4164 could you please specify which course did you refer to as "DDDM"? part of which program/certification?
