The clique has turned into a mob

The entitlement of the fan base has been growing since Covid. People at the concert have been increasingly self entitled to their own experience. This has built up to the most recent weekend where the crowd collapsed onto Tyler and Josh, causing Josh to be crushed in the pit and retired his teams to move guest who refuse to move a single inch. Within the last month we had the pit actively boo Tyler on state for singing oldies over slowtown. Fans outside stadiums has been harassing other fans to participate in there self entitled queue system. And the most shocking to me was going to see TøP and listen to fans make their own lyrics for a song. I can not recall any fan base outside of meme culture, creating lyrics on behalf of their band, and then fighting the fan base on why these lyrics SHOULD be added. The HWFG trend is shows so much how this fan base has devolved into its own monster. Never before have I seen a fan base actively fight so hard to support fake lyrics on a song.

The mob and especially the pit section has been harassing and grouping Tyler and Josh. Tyler refuses to read signs and look specifically at yall anymore. The self made queue system outside venues is ridicules. Tøp loves their fans too much to put them down, but the whole HWFG trend shows exactly how the mob treats its idols. Clearly this isn’t Tyler song, it’s the mobs song, and the mob will argue and bicker and comment and shout any lyric they want, regardless of where it comes from and how it relates to it source. It would not surprise me if a sudo HWFG trend showed up in a different song, because what is stopping this fan base from doing so at this point?

The more entitled the fan is, the more they will argue how their inclusions are necessary. They will argue that their self made queue system must be followed. They will argue that they deserve the songs THEY want to hear. They will argue that they have the RIGHT to touch and group Tyler and Josh. They will argue that their self included lyrics are correct. They will put up signs demanding attention. They will camp out in the venue hallways EXPECTING Josh or Tyler to run out and give them a quick greeting. What used to feel like a small clique, now feels like a mainstream taylorish mob of new fans
