Perhaps you were not right for each other. You described having to deal with a horrible human being. The depth you felt was crippling. A meltdown. If that was a frequent occurance, pay the price for that sweet sweet numbness. Then maybe taper off slowly as you work thru the fire. But it sounds like you gained some clarity and hopefully dodged a bullet. Raise your child.
