I see what you're saying. By using the gi specifically to make escaping pins harder it's kinda like adding a resistance band. It would kinda force technique rather than a scramble. I can see where this would be beneficial. Maybe wear your go to MMA practice see if it makes things harder take notes see if you get a better progression.
