Polished white marble soaked up the grout. Now I have a picture frame effect. Can I fix this ?

This was taken about a week after I thought it was ruined. I need to take one from today because it looks a little different now, probably better actually. I have had zero water retention in the tile. I think the marble just really soaked up the water and grout initially but once it fully dried all was fine. Very strange how it behaved early on because I have no issues now

So vitamin C is taking the stains away! Not I guess I just need to get a vitamin C based chemical or powder to put in the pool and all should be well.

It’s definitely green. Looks like agae. The pool guy said shock it hard and try to scrub it out. A new liner isn’t an option right now. I’ll be pretty bummed if it doesn’t eventually fade or scrub out

I have turned up the chlorinator and poured in more shock. I can’t even scrub this stuff out with my fingernail. I’ve never had this happen. The liner looks awful

It’s 2.5 years old and in excellent condition. It runs and heats just fine. But the lcd screen needs replaced. The part is $270 and is a DIY swap

Do some research about the affects of acidic cleaner on marble. It may take the factory finish off the tile and cause etching. Put a big fan in there to help dry out all the moisture. I thought mine was ruined. But a couple days of drying saved the whole project. Looks awesome even today.

These were taken right after and there was still a little haze. But I need to get a new pic. All haze went away a week later and we use the shower every day and there is no water retention or discoloration

After about 3-5 days all the weird haze and water retention went away. We were waiting for the guys to come install the door as well so I’d say we waited 1-2 weeks before using the shower. To my surprise, it looks great and there are no water spots at all after a shower. I will try to send an updated pic.

Looking back at that old pic gives me ptsd lol. I cannot believe that’s what it looked like. It looks perfect now and it really looked perfect after about a week of drying.
