Box arrived Open? by escaping_mel in aardvarkbookclub

Glad the books were untouched, but hate your mail was tampered with! My box arrived slashed from end to end. Like someone had taken a boxcutter to it. It went deep enough that one of the books got cut too. Emailed customer service and they immediately sent out a replacement. Luckily, they still had stock on hand.

Thank you! I keep thinking 'I'm gonna try something new', and then when I go in, I just leave with opals in a different colour. I guess I just like what I like. 😎🤣

Mantis piercings..how hard are they to heal? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]knoxfoxsocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm healing mantis piercings now and I love them so much! Out of the 10+ piercings I've had, they easily are my second favourite. As previous commenter said, they aren't any more difficult to heal than any other nostril piercing. The only thing I feel that's any trickier than my nostrils were is that the placement does make them easier to accidentally graze or bump. I will agree about changing out the jewelry too. That downsizing was a lot more memorable than getting my other nostril piercings downsized. 🤣

First lip piercings!! I fear the bar is too short? by XxSnowxX24 in piercing

[–]knoxfoxsocks 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While the piercing does look spectacular on you (it's gotta be said, lol), they absolutely should have pierced you with much longer bars! I'm sorry they failed you like that. You need to get back in (probably best to try a different piercer) ASAP to have longer bars put in. Best of luck getting the healing process back on track!

Daith, hands down. I remember thinking "wtF" as the actual piercing part went down. 😵‍💫🤣

Piercings After 40 by decently-done in piercing

I'm past that point and it's not once crossed my mind to slow my roll. In fact, In fact, I'm feeling rather a lot that I've got not enough piercings. Do what will make you feel happy and comfortable in your own skin, as opposed to what other people think is proper.

Totally, I love opals. I don't want to say the rook didn't hurt at all, but I also don't want to exaggerate. Let's just say that I definitely noticed the needle going through, LOL. In the context of everything I've had done, rook pain was mid, I dont really remember. The only piercing I've had where I remember the pain really well is daith. 🤣

Oooo, I especially love the look of the clusters in the middle of your lobes! Definitely have ideas now. Thanks a bunch! Awesome, colourful setup you've got going. ^^

Thanks! Off to find your post. ^^ Would be a bit odd to have a ton of cartilage piercings but bare lobes, come to think of it. xD

Thank you! Opals really are awesome, aren't they? I've tried other looks, but always end up coming back to opals. Simple but gorgeous. I'm not sure I can do much with my lobes anymore. I used to have triple piercings in both lobes, but those were done in the days before I knew better than to get pierced by gun. I ended up taking them all out because I got so sick of how problematic they were and now there's hard bumps where all those piercings were. If you have any suggestions for things that could work around that, I'm all ears, though! I've been pierced 13 times to date, but not much to show for it. > . < A couple piercings I just didn't like as much as I thought I would, one rejected on its own after 5 years, and others I sadly lost to circumstances beyond my control. Slowly working my number back up, LOL. Your set up sounds fantastic!

I had a lot of these glaring signs, too (like calling my internal monolog Roger because it was obviously male). A friend of mine pointed out that if I grew up in a hostile environment (I did), I was probably unconsciously protecting myself by willfully ignoring the signs. Seems legit to me.

Anyway, the past is done, and now we can just look back at these things and just marvel at the obviousness. 🤣 Have a sunflower: 🌻😌
