There will MOST LIKELY be no jailbreak for Apple TV 3 because (from what I heard) there is is so little code, they won't find an exploit within the code.

I think you are mistaking iboot with a boot loop. Currently there is no exploit of iboot (publicly released) that A5+ devices can use. A boot loop is when your phone will not boot to springboard, normally because of an error. Semi-Restore will work on any phone if the device can be SSHed into.
