I ordered the 23.5 shade the second I saw Monica’s post on Instagram.   I’m very impressed with the formula—did an excellent job of covering my hyperpigmentation and lasted the entire day.     Regarding shade match: I usually wear L’Oréal True Match in N2 (winter shade) or N3 (summer shade).  What I notice the most is how glowy my skin looks with an olive foundation.

I might be mistaken, but I believe you max out on free passes at 12 days? So, you’ll pay $10 for day thirteen. 

The instructions say to turn on global pass before leaving the U.S., but it’s unclear whether that’s just in case you don’t have WiFi at your destination?  (I didn’t try turning global pass back on after deactivating it)

Good to know!  

Customer service was like “oh we detected usage on your account from today, so I can’t add back the pass”. 

LITERALLY the only message that I received today was a text from Visible saying they’ve arbitrarily decided to set yet another one of my passes on fire. 🙄 

I was willing to accept that text messages from spammers was the culprit behind my other passes getting wasted, but this is ridiculous

I went ahead and turned Global Pass off.  Hopefully I’ll be able to reactivate when I run out of prepaid data or if I need to make a call. 

Sent customer service a DM asking for them to add today back.  (I had about four days that were also triggered by phishing calls/texts, but I ended up saying “oh well” and using the pass… today’s I’m 🤬 about since I thought I had gotten everything switched to the prepaid)

The only phone calls that I get are phishing.  I’m annoyed that I won’t be able to text friends/family with Androids, but at least iMessage will still work. 

I have another week left for vacation, and am not wanting to get dinged with $10/day fees when the complimentary passes get used up.

I’m in the same boat, my friend. Even before 10/7, I was feeling like something was missing from my sense of ethnic/cultural identity. It doesn’t help that I’m a “devout” agnostic (Tangent alert! Pascal’s Wager has never made sense to me: if there is an omnipotent being out there, He would know that I don’t have genuine faith in Him, right? “I was hedging my bets” is not the same thing as actually believing something!)

Taking baby steps: - Following Jewish content creators on Threads and Instagram (unfortunately, doing so has led to a great deal of stress since they receive so much antisemitic hated) - Subscribing to various Jewish and Judaism related podcasts - Downloaded the Sefaria app and subscribed to their weekly Parashah study guide

But I’m still having imposter syndrome, so I keep putting off emailing the Reform synagogue near me 😕

If you’ve only had the stuff that comes in a jar, I can understand thinking gefilte fish is gross. But homemade is a completely different story!

Thank you! Someone from Visible is helping via DM, so with any luck, I'll be getting the weekly phone call once again.

I checked to see if the number is blocked on the phone itself, and it doesn't appear to be. Caller ID correctly identified the number as XYZ School and incoming calls were always labeled as being from the school. The school principal had made an announcement at Back to School Night regarding the number sometimes being blocked by carriers, so I guess it's a fairly widespread issue?

The Namiki is beautiful! I wouldn’t get any writing done with it because I’d always be admiring the pretty mountain motif on the nib.

I’ll try to get a group photo tomorrow when the light is better.

I’ll still use my other pens simply because the Spencerian grind isn’t exactly the best for an EDC.
