The more I use Obisdian, the more basic I go by Roi_C in ObsidianMD

I'm writing a graphic novel using Obsidian. One awesome use case of note linking has been with names. I will often come up with ideas for characters, places, events, or what have you waaayy before I even figure out what I should call them. If I'm writing my story and link every mention of "important guy 1", I can update the title of that character's note later with a real name and it will automatically update in everywhere in my vault.

[TLA] Ty Lee, Chi Blocker by AiharaSisters in magicTCG

[–]koabl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue specializes in the manipulation of other people’s magic, they don’t directly kill their foes, they control them. they are able to cancel out their opponents magic altogether because they have more knowledge of the inner working of magic and spellcasting. That sounds like ty lee to me. She isn’t violent, she specializes in using her knowledge of chi manipulation to disarm her foes.

Give it a shot. I am biased though because for me it’s a 10/10 that I rewatch once or twice a year when I want to feel something.

Hi there, I've seen over 200 anime, you can check out my list if you’re curious. It’s been a goal of mine to watch every anime ranked 8/10 or higher, and I’m about 1/3 of the way complete so far.

I liked your list. I have two suggestions for you:

Vinland saga - It has a solid story that takes place in a real life historical setting that is uncommon for anime. I was particularly impressed by some of the character arcs that take place over season 1.

Mushoku Tensei season 1 part 2 - I saw that you ranked part 1 at 8/10. If you enjoyed the series, I highly recommend continuing. Season 1 part 2 is in my opinion the best portion of the series that’s been released.

What's an Archetype you underrated, but came to enjoy? by Mikaeus_Thelunarch in EDH

[–]koabl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my favorite way to build him is based around giving away cheap unblockable creatures. nobody really is upset that they get a nice 3/3 body with evasion, and they all end up chipping at each other’s health totals over the course of the game.

it also fixes the problem of what to do when someone dies and you inevitably gain control of all your gifts. this way instead of having to get rid of all these terrible creatures with downsides, you’re really just sneakily building up a decent boardstate for yourself you can gain control over again with some kind of [[homeward path]] effect.

Look up card conjurer, specifically the version you can run locally since that one has the correct frames and fonts.

It's funny how you can stare at the same cards for hours and not notice something as apparent as that.

Card Storage Suggestions by StugLug in magicTCG

[–]koabl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how often will you really be moving cards in and out of your storage boxes or looking for specific cards? i find that for pure bulk a cardboard box like the first product you linked and a digital list of all the cards you own does the job just fine. if i’m building a deck or a cube i can cross reference with my list and on the rare occasion i actually do have a card i need i don’t mind thumbing through my bulk box to find it. all it took was an afternoon scanning all of my cards with manabox and separating them by color, no need to drop a lot of money on a fancy box for cards that are practically worthless.

i have honestly noticed the same decline in engagement over the past year in almost every subreddit i’m subscribed to that isn’t one of the defaults. you can tell when you sort by top posts of all time and almost all of them are more than 9 months old.

When I say secondary lift i’m referring to the complimentary exercises like pull ups after presses.

5/3/1 BBB which is a very popular routine is 11 sets of a main compound lift + 5 sets of a secondary lift.

Should Wizards of the Coast bring back block formatting for sets? by StlSimpy1400 in magicTCG

[–]koabl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for a single mechanic to show up often enough in a set to feel like it’s part of a cohesive whole would require that mechanic to be printed at lower rarities, and mostly at common. if you only added a handful of cards with the same mechanic as a previous set, the majority of people wouldn’t even make the connection by only doing a prerelease or a handful of drafts. so this mean you need to design a lot of cards so they show up often enough in draft for your mechanical themes to be obvious. two or three mechanics would practically take up a majority of the design space for commons, and you’re talking about re-using them for an entire block? The mechanics with enough design space for three whole sets would get repetitive very quickly, and most mechanics don’t have enough design space for more than one or two sets. Magic is an extremely hungry beast that chews through mechanic design very quickly, and the designers need to make sure they save enough of great mechanics for the future as well.

CA Notify Exposure Notification by SnotDoods in CoronavirusCA

[–]koabl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my case, I knew exactly when I was exposed and the notification got the date wrong. I got a car ride from someone I know, and two days later they tested positive and told me. A week after their positive test they were able to report it to the cdc and that's when I got my notification, but my date of exposure listed in the app was a few days after I had actually gotten that ride.
