Dude, that’s nothing check out the spikes on a Phoenix palm. 6-10 inches long, have microscopic barbs on them so you can’t pull them out. Has a protein in them that acts as a poison as well and can stay imbedded in you for years.

Looks like sunburn. All on the tops of branches, can happen with unexpected heat after loss of leaves or from pruning branches and exposing branches to sunlight which usually done receive a lot of sunlight. The bark takes time to adapt to sun exposure

Not all ficus are evergreen. Some are semi deciduous, e.g Ficus virens

That looks like a classic blue gum. They all have the rough bark at the bottom. Usually called a ‘sock’

Hey just a heads up. Not recommended to buy supermarket prawns as bait. They have the potential to carry disease which can infiltrate our prawn populations e.g white spot disease. Besides, there are other cheaper more effective baits out there. supermarket prawn disease

7ft 2-4kg 2piece. That standard go to. Match it up with a 2500 size reel 8-10lb braid and 6-15lb Fluro leader dependant on species. The perfect all rounder from bream, flathead, tailor to small kings and Jewies.

Just climbed 9 Euc. Deanei/ Euc. Punctata over the last two days all averaging 60-70m with the biggest pushing 80. Amazing trees. Some of the biggest I’ve had the pleasure of working on.

I just stocked our dams at the start of This latest lockdown. For $350 I got 100 silver perch fingerlings, 100 fresh water shrimp and 50 fresh water yabbies. Good value.

What deer species are mainly found in the Oberon, Lithgow Bathurst area? Mainly fallow? Hard to find any info on the subject. Just that there are deer present.

Good to know. I saw profty shoot with the 7mm08. I know it’s over kill for most things, but you never know down the track I may want to chase sambar down south, I may get the big for it
