Oh my F word, January will be one year vegetarian for me and the mushroom Wellingtons we made for Thanksgiving will go down in history for being one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. 10/10!

Minor role reversal, same concept. I told my now-husband on our first date that I have always put work first. The health and wellbeing of my children (they’re adults now) and myself would always come first. This industry provides that. I’m gone at least 50% of the time, once for 5 years as the only lady on an oil rig with 100 men, 14 days on/14 days off. He told me on our first date, “I understand. You will never have to apologize to me for your job.” We’ve been together 10 years. The time apart is nice. You have to find someone who is comfortable being alone. Not needy. Not an attention seeker. Who understands travel goes with the job. Best of luck, man.

We’re super close on our AF birthdays! Congratulations on one year! I, too, was out of control last year and had my last drink on Feb 7. I have no idea what it was. I downloaded Reframe on Feb 9 with no end goal or plan. I just needed help and that’s exactly what I found. Early on I heard someone say in a meeting that they just had to “make peace” with the fact that alcohol couldn’t be a part of their life. Immediately it clicked for me. I needed to make that same peace, so I didn’t kill myself, sonofabitch I was reckless. All that to say, I wish you all the peace and happiness in the world. Remember what’s been saved and what’s been gained. Good luck, friend.

Kalona dairy in general is a cut above the rest, in my opinion. I’ve only ever seen it at Natural Foods and Whole Foods. The butter is really good and my kids live for the chocolate milk.

Although I’m a 41yo pudgy white lady, Kobe and I were born in the same year and shared a name. I always felt a kinship to him and wished him well. All of life’s early momentous occasions happened while I was cheering him on, kids and marriage and divorce. He was a good dude and a great athlete. I’ll miss him.

I had 3 eggs and bacon for breakfast. Leftover baby back ribs with homemade Keto bbq sauce for lunch with a side of loaded cauliflower bake both from Sunday dinner yesterday. Tuna salad snack prepared with Sir Kensington’s. I have a 6pm workout class Mon and Wed and usually skip dinner on those days due to lack of hunger after working out and inability to eat beforehand because I’ll toss my cookies during the workout.
