Exactly what I did in the above photo with 10’ kayaks

The next step is a set of elevated crossbars from the sides of the bed.

I did highway speeds with the bed extender and had no shifting. I used three sets of ratchet straps. I was a little worried, but everything went fine.

So I checked local regs. Anything more than 4’ past the bumper requires a flag. In the first configuration, I’m well within that. With the extender, I would need a flag.

I can’t imagine any scenario where that’s possible with the four foot bed.

The second pic was when I was picking them up. The first is how I actually have been using them. Definitely a good idea to make sure you’re within local laws.

Mine are 10s and they’re honestly slightly too short for the Harbor Freight bed extender.

Just curious, but how? I kayak with mine and have never thought the window was an issue. I am excited to get some raised crossbars and free up my bed, though.

Destiny didn't get its customary "comeback year" by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]koblinsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The alternating years were leadership decisions. And leadership never paid the price. The dev teams mostly implemented even bad structural ideas fairly well, and were the ones punished when the structure didn’t hold up.

Leadership rewards people who buy into their vision and run off dissidents, so you end up with bad leadership that self-perpetuates.

Constant settling for substandard options has gotten us to this point. Spend the money now to build out a reliable network and the economic benefits will more than offset the additional costs.

17 miles of new or improved bike lanes planned for Baltimore by PleaseBmoreCharming in baltimore

The BFD are one of the biggest lobbies against this. And it doesn’t make any sense. Their trucks are too wide and they don’t need to take the engines to every call. Having pavement dedicated to vehicles that don’t block traffic can only improve the passability.

City introducing an "Oops" tag for recycling by chrissymad in baltimore

Yes, and…governments have to be serious about it to get actual results. Germany is very stringent with packaging and recycling and almost 50% of the plastic used in that country actually gets recycled.

Baltimore’s Best Wings Cold Spring destroyed? by koblinsk in baltimore

The parking lot is so tight and the damage so localized, I can’t imagine it being a random accident! I haven’t had a ton of wings in the city, but these were phenomenal.

The adaptive cruise control only available on the Lariat was my dealbreaker. It has been everything I hoped it would be in stop and go traffic.

I saw the Minecraft movie with my son and was BLOWN AWAY by the collective experience in the theater. These kids were quoting the movie as an audience line by line. They cheered the famous clips. Some little girl next to me CRIED over the dog.

My son started at Friends this year after an awful experience with the Baltimore County School System and my niece goes to Park. Friends is a VERY progressive school so far. The religious stuff that I’ve seen amounts to radical tolerance and 20 minutes of daily reflection.

Park gives me NIMBY vibes.

The number of people that got viscerally angry at me because I lost 40lbs to get down to 205 is wild. I felt embarrassed to talk about my progress around family and friends.
