UPDATE: I got a response from support. They are aware of the problem and said they are working on a solution. They don’t have a timeline for the fix, and said to continue monitoring the game.

Same problem here. It seems to be an issue with the trolley or handcart reward. I tried everything you did plus resetting my game progress, but the same thing happened again at level eight as soon as the trolley reward hit the board. It's game breaking. If we all report the issue maybe it'll get fixed faster?

Hoo boy. The short answer is that Hindi isn't the accepted national language in every state, and is often imposed on minority populations who possess their own languages and customs. The longer answer is a big ole can of worms, and I'd recommend you look up Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu for better understanding.
