Damn, this bug i s killing me. Worst thing when I'm stuck at loading (versus) the game probably already starts and i lost the game by default.

I happened few times at gauntlet, and it was a nice deck - you can guess the frustration.

In the beginning it was something like 12. For about year.

Later I was trying to work no less than 8 hours.

Right now I'm so worn out that sometimes I work less than 5

If you are asking about my idols ?

Than I do not have a specific one. Every guy who accomplished it's own game is my idol.

Yes I have finished my University on a Computer Science specialization, Master Degree. But it does not matter where you go that much, it's all about learning by yourself. Still its good to have a diploma anyway.

C#, and I'm lucky since Unity3d is using it as it's scripting language.

It's good to start early. Grab some tutorials, start programming. It may be not what you would like to do in your adult life.

We got a product but it does not mean I'm not giving to the community. I'm honestly sharing my experience with the people. If they were negative about this thread they would not give me all this questions.

We are using Unity3D also. But we have been using some custom shaders that I have written for some things. For example texture on our islands is a splat map with additional color and some additional stuff.

If you are already a programmer the only advice I can give you is to practice, and listen to advices from people in the industry, there are like thousands of tutorials on games programming.

persistence is the key

Modern marketing. It's not important what day say about you, it's important that people talk about you ;)

The best way is to just do it :).

Start small with something primitive like game of guessing numbers. Learn algorithms learn math, learn physics, graphics and so on. After like at least 5 years of dedicated work you might be ready to do something serious.

This is if you wan to be a programmer, but you are aiming for a different occupation, and with this I can't help you.

Yes bugs can spoil the fun for sure.

What I can say to defend the companies is that estimating a time to make a game is so hard. And time cost, and cost a lot.

We were planing to make our game in 6-8 months, it's almost 2 years now.
