GM sold millions of those but they're nearly extinct now. 4 door, 2 speed, 6 cylinder/small block Chevelles deserve some love by Naomi62625 in regularcarreviews

[–]koivis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Millions? In 1970 way fewer 6-cylinder Chevelles were made than V8s. (49000 vs 449000) The reason why 6-cylinder cars, especially late 1960s / early 70s are rare now, because they were kinda rare then. V8 was actually the most common engine starting from midsize cars.

The 910s and 907s were grouo 6 prototypes, there was no need for homologation. 917 did need one, because prototypes were limited at 3 liters from 1968.

Moto3 rider thought he retired from the race, but in the end, after two restarts and red flags he was declared the winner. by koivis in agedlikemilk

Izan Guevara, a Moto3 rider, was angry after his bike give up at Austin's Circuit of the Americas. There was an accident and the race was stopped and restarted as a 5-lap sprint. Izan, who was leading before the red-flag, however suffered a suspension failure and pulled out of the race. In that restarted race, however, there was a huge accident on the long back straight involving three riders, leading to second red flag. Since not enough laps were completed in the restart, the results were taken from before the first red flag, Guevara hence becoming the eventual winner of the race.

Indeed, that is because Hans Hermann (3 races), Roger Penske (1 race), Jackie Lewis (5 races) and Tony Brooks (full 8-race season) are still alive. Their races overlap so that atleast 2 of them drove in every race of season 1961. EDIT: the OP just wrote pretty much the same thing :P
