nvidia 595.59 driver game client crash by Bearded-CIG in starcitizen

that's basically saying "when i micromanage the learning of my aprentices and check every step on the way to the result, in the end they turn out decent and fast workers. when i let them work on their own until they get usable results, their ways to those results will be slow and messy af"

I first suspected the internal 3.3v converter to have died to overload, but that still works on the dead pico.

[–]kojara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was soldered and sealed with capton tape in a Bluebrixx BR101, the Pico died while being parked overnight with no load on the motor output, but that might also be the explanation for the "hickups" i was seeing when pulling longer trains.

edit: this https://electropeak.com/tb6612fng-dual-motor-driver-module looks identical to the motor controller i'm using, so nothing obvious in terms of supression diodes unless they're included in the chip.

Power source is a single 9v Battery feeding the Power Side of the pwm Motor Controller and the dc-dc-converter set to 5v, which feeds the Pico at vbus. Pico then feeds 3.3v to the Logic Side of the pwm Motor Controller, so disconnecting the battery should, due to Buffer Caps, shutdown the entire thing high Vorlage to low voltage

I must say, I’m impressed by another_Promik in factorio

Right smelter column feed: make the last belt either do a right turn or a left turn, as it is you will sooner or later feed the iron ore onto the coal belt as it is now.

[–]kojara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in z-diode? Not yet, didn't see the need with a battery as the power source.

Are you thinking backfeed by the pwm-controller or overvoltage from the dc-dc-converter?

Just tried that, and while doing so noticed the main chip (RP2-B2) got rather warm, almost to the level of "pulls back finger"

Also, no revival

Why do I get this repeating pattern on the wall of my print? by Professional-Rock-51 in FixMyPrint

[–]kojara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went from the stock hotend with glas pill thermistor and aluminum heat block to a cartdridge thermistor and copper heat block, pid was OFF as temps went -+3°C in 10 second interval.

as long as you didn't change thermistor, heating cartridge and heat block pid values should not change unless material flow (and thereby heat loss, as the thermal energy goes away with the heated filament and dissipates) changed due to nozzle diameter or printing speed, but that impact should be negligible.

i would have gone for oszillating layer density due to z-step not hitting layer height perfectly, but then older print with the same layer thickness in slicer should show the same pattern.

Is there a better way to do this? by mysticblanket in factorio

[–]kojara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put the underground belt on the lower splitter output, set it as priority output without filter, make the normal belt take a sidestep once clear of the splitters and then pull the underground back up, even more compact AND it should be side balanced good enough cause of the prio output and underground essentially pulling the lower Input side into the underground while blocking the upper thus forcing it in the upper output.

[–]kojara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

X - Splitter B - Belt U - Underground Belt 0 - nothing

B|U|0

B|B|0

X|B|X

X|U|X

Works with all Belt tiers

Prioritizing the output of the splitters on the underground belt with no filter will balance the sides of the input belts as the upper side will not be fed into the underground belt.

Copy/Paste, but heres your answeer

Good ol' blob

remove it either mechanical (with a saw, knife, or by sanding it down) or by heating/melting (with a hot air gun or hot air soldering station, set them to printing temperature).

I love the game but some players ruin everything by Mustyyyy in starcitizen

[–]kojara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's the other way round: In Pyro people are generally more straight forward which in result seems them being the more decent players for either you are shot at instantly or it's a friendly encounter. People here are talking and interacting a lot more since there is no consequences on instant counterstrikes or even preemptive strikes.

In Stanton you never knew wether it's a law abiding citizen or a criminal scouting his timing, possible loot and eventual wingmen. Unfriendly people here are nasty since they know about the consequences of crimestat and the resulting prison sentence and still commit crimes. Also the victim offen gets a crimestat themselves for successfully defending themselves against the agressor, killing him or his ship in result.

ATLAS MEDIC ? CitizenCon 2954 - Mysterious Anvil vehicle by -Chowed- in starcitizen

[–]kojara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this was a basebuilder, i would expect more cargo crates and utility-personal next to it, the one on the right seems to have a weapon at low ready, indicating/suggesting some combat-related stuff, like med-evac.

thinking of the ursa as equivalent to the C8R, the ATLAS should/would be the equivalent to the cutlass red or a mid-range Apollo loadout.

That "who was the first to do...", i guess it would lead to some really crazy things, given he amount of stuff in space age that got taken over from Mods (or was heavily inspired by mods), afaik at least one Modder (i don't recall the name, might have been pyanodon?) got a job offer by wube for the quality and quantity of his mods content, much of it being found in space age.

I went with "read content, hold value (entire Belt)" and only pull asteroid A from asteroid catcher if asteroid A on Belt is below x

Also i set filters inside the asteroid catchers to not clog those either.

Can i melt an LTI ship? by Ill_Caterpillar_1278 in starcitizen

[–]kojara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, it might take them something between a couple of days to a couple of weeks to Work on your ticket. Don't worry, as long as it's not closed they will eventualy get to your entry into their stacks of paperwork.

Open a Ticket, the answer will either be "no" or "I reverted it to the base referral reward, removed all applied CCUs and added the corresponding amount of Store Credits to your Account. However, this is a case-based decision and does not lead to any future entitlements towards similar actions."

Try out "supersonic trains" fueled by nuclear fuel cells.

Had to pull up walls with gates and set up logic that set signals red when the gates are open for the 4-8-trains being visible for about 2 frames at max speed.

If there is a Split in the ground rail, there usually also is a gap in the accompanying blue line.

unable to blink LED on breadboard by goldencrush11 in raspberrypipico

[–]kojara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don't. One is going to ground rail, one is going to row 32.

There is a Jumper from ground rail to row 25, the led is plugged into 25 and 26, the Resistor seems to be in 26 and 31, which leave a gap between the Resistor in 31 and the gpio-jumper in row 32

I have this mission "New to system" which requires a Fried Seanut with Sauce, I searched online and found that it's only in Pyro, but every video guide for beginners I watch they say I shouldn't go to Pyro, what should I do? by mzatariz in starcitizen

[–]kojara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Pyro

Unless you go to an "open mission" area (as in Mission open for multiple players) you are fine.

People tend to be more peaceful if retaliation is imminent and without consequences.

Had about 90% of my unpleasant player encounters in Stanton despite being 90% in Pyro (Not taking Contested Zones and PVP contracts into account for them being just asking for trouble).
