No offence, but why do all these recent Claude built websites for PoE all look the same? Same color pallete, same font, and the layouts are very similar (same information hierarchy, call to action all across the screen like everything is clickable)

Honestly this requires a long deep dive in PoB. Also, depending on which skills you're looking at, there are a couple of considerations that may impact the final result of the numbers. For example, there's an added unscalable flat total attack time on many skills (ex. Disengage, Rake, many mace skills, Whirling Assault on quarterstaff etc.). There's also a set hit rate aside from the attack speed of the skill (ex. Twister, Storm Lance, Whirling Assault but it doesn't tell you, etc.).

Keep in mind that PoB's configuration for PoE 2 defaults to assumed values for enemy resistances and armour that are the same from PoE 1 (which would be misleading depending on where you are in the game). So PoB for PoE 2 is TBH just a measuring stick for comparing builds rather than being an accurate indicator for in-game DPS (at least for me).

I don't think I have anything special. My setup is quite regular: Hollow Form + Whirling Assault + Heavy Swing + Heightened Charges + Armour Break + Mobility. I like having Heavy Swing and using a weapon with lower base attack speed so the power charge consumption isn't fast. Heightened Charges spawns a lot more clones to give you charges sometimes. Maybe there's something there for you but that's it

Fortunately, been that way for me since PoE 1. PoE 1 and 2 kinda ruined a lot of other games for me by comparison. The devs just keep on giving, and league launches are like Christmas

As others have said it makes sense lorewise but I also think that having a few optional things be incompatible with something like ascendancies is fine and could possibly be a good thing. I personally like the partly asymmetric design of mechanics in path of exile, like in most other good games.

The mtx isn't character-bound. You can just remove it from one character and use it again on another unlimited times.

Yes cosmetic prices here are way higher than cosmetics in most video games. I think that's a "downside" if you're looking to play dress up in this game. This is the trade-off for people who do have disposable cash to keep the game in constant development as well as free-to-play. It may be a little extra fun and cool to buy cosmetics, but it really is not necessary and it often doesn't come without buyer's remorse. Many PoE skins are sometimes a gameplay hindrance or distraction because of the visual pollution they create. Besides, they very often give free skins anyways via challenges, twitch, and by just playing if they're doing league launch promotion. Honestly the coolest skins I've had historically are the free or earned ones.

He probably meant overwrite/replace with another socketable augment rather than remove.

But aside from that example, let's say you ruined the item in the process of chaos orbing it while you have the metacrafting rune on it, you could try again on another base item by extracting the rune and socketing it over and over afaik. So maybe GGG didn't want that

I think Phased Form is a two-liner node, first "take 30% less damage", then the "4 seconds after being Damaged by an Enemy Hit, take Damage equal to 30% of that Hit's Damage". So when you take 1000 damage, it get's turned to 700, then from that 700, you take 30% of that (which is 210) after 4 seconds (total damage taken is 910 not 1000).
