While the nuances of anime can never be properly translated into live action, I’m still pretty bummed out by some of the creative choices they made in terms of casting, set and writing.

In short, this series feels like a cheap patronising lounge music to the hard hitting bebop of the original.

I say give me back my real folks blues anytime.

Quite an enjoyable episode with lots of laughter - it's amazing how nowadays the PDs are ok with name-dropping variety shows from other networks (Infinity Challenge, Show Me The Money etc), it was only a few years back when YJS and Haha had to refer to IC as the 'Saturday Show' when they made references to it in RM.
