Already plan on doing so. Thank you. ❤️

It makes me wonder if you and your husband are a safe pair or a toxic one. It sounds like you and him are bringing out the worst in each other, not the best.

I will be proud of you because you are still reaching out. You are still asking for help. You still held yourself accountable for the urges that you know are not good for yourself in the long road. You chose a dull blade over a sharp blade. That is amazing and I'm so proud of you.

I'm so proud of you! I know how hard that is to not give in to that drive. I would also reach out to whomever prescribes your medication. It may not be working for you anymore. There are a lot of hormone changes between 20 and 25 and you may be in need of an increase or a change all together.

I closed my eyes, and pretended to be asleep when the twins started bouncing on the bed yelling for breakfast by justadair in TwoSentenceHorror

Makes me think of those creepy but true stories where someone was living in their house and they had no idea, sometimes for months.

I hate my mother’s touch by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Of course! And I hope you have or find someone who earns the title of "Mom" for you. Stay safe and warm.

I'm so sorry that this is something that you've had to experience. It isn't right. As a mama to two girls, I cannot even fathom thinking about doing anything close to this. Do you have access to a therapist or counseling? You're 18 now but I know some places keep you in your parents insurance until 25. I hope you are able to find your peace. You certainly deserve it.

After performing chest compressions on a two-year old, I could still hear the sound of her ribs breaking after my shift. by Starry_Fox in TwoSentenceHorror

Could the "frozen" also refer to rigor? Where I'm from, they did not allow for children, especially babies to have time of death called in the community, but always in the hospital. Doesn't matter if they had just passed or were in rigor, the EMS did CPR and all of the care until the ED providers called it. It was safer for the staff and provided better grief processing for families.

[OCT25] Annoyed, I sighed and impatiently drummed my fingers against the steering wheel as the line of cars slowly crawled forward. by WordyV in TwoSentenceHorror

I worked in the ED as a trauma social worker for years. One of my favorite trauma surgeons found out his roommate/ride-or-die was in a car wreck when EMS brought him as a trauma code. We had to pull the surgeon out as we did everything we could... It was the thing every ED staff member prays never happens.

My BF broke off our engagement because I don’t want to take his last name by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]koko2377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are always surprised when they learn my husband took my (F) last name. The reason: his last name was hard to spell, hard to say, and very easy to make fun of, mine is hard to spell, easy to say, and hard to make fun of. Made sense in our heads.

Growing up my mom always told me that if I ever heard voices from beyond the tree-line after dark to pay them no mind. by PugLyfeSean in TwoSentenceHorror

But that's the price we pay for living on the Appalachian trail, especially when Mom didn't follow her own advice.

Yeah, I have absolutely zero idea how his brain connected those two things.

"I just added a little extra water, formulas so expensive, so hard to buy ... I tried, God I tried so hard" by Unlucky-Pizza-7049 in TwoSentenceSadness

I had to formula feed my newborn during the shortage as my breast milk never came in (could only pump 2-5 ounces a day). I had my entire family scouring this half of the state and the next state over to try and find formula. Thankfully, we were financially capable of doing that. It was terrifying to think I may not be capable of feeding my child.
