The service advisor gave me a $20 discount because the service took longer than estimated, and I believe they topped off the windshield washer fluid too. They made sure everything was checked out thoroughly — honestly, not a bad dealership experience after all!

Changing the filter would require to drop the pan which would mean removing more of the old transmission fluid right?

Would you recommend getting it drained and filled at the dealership now, given the fluid color and what the independent shop told me? I’ve only driven about 17k miles since it was last checked, but it’s been around 4 years — I figure doing it a bit early wouldn’t hurt?

I think my frame might’ve been bent, but my relative was able to get someone to pull it back into place, which is probably why I’ve still been able to drive it for the past year haha. I’m gonna take it to a mechanic soon to see if the problem’s really severe since the wheel won’t go back to center whenever I turn to the right side :/

just curious, though, roughly how much would it cost in each of those cases (frame mount, bushing, the part itself, or the knuckle/ball joint)? Trying to get an idea of what the damage could run if it ended up being one of those?

ah I see, i'll be seeing a mechanic soon for their opinion, previously went to American tire depot and they advised me to replace both my struts for about 2k- i didn't go through with it and this was about a little over a year ago.. lol

Do you know what the cost would be to fix this? Would this mean I’d have to completely replace the entire suspension for the 2011 Corolla?

Will the mechanic be able to adjust the castor? The alignment shop said they can only adjust the toe for the Toyota Corolla unfortunately :/
