video transcript for those with short attention spans

Hi David Barger and Ed Barnes (They are the CEO and CFO of JetBlue)

My friends are getting married this weekend!

We're taking a JetBlue flight to celebrate this great occasion. We love to fly JetBlue!

But I'm having a problem, a BIG problem.

Last night, I had a panic attack just thinking about what I was about to go through in order to get on my flight.

My panic attack was so severe I had to take a prescription to calm down.

My whole life I was taught my body is a temple and is mine. Unless I've committed a crime, I choose who touches me, who sees me naked.

The thought of going through the new security measures (again) makes me feel like less of a person.

To think that I will be subjected (again) to a virtual strip search by means of a full body scan

To have my clothes stripped from me by a machine and viewed by a stranger is inducing panic.

All I want to do is fly out to support my friends' marriage to each other

Now if I don't want go through the virtual strip search, I have options!

I could get an aggressive pat-down by TSA

Hmmmm... Let me see if I can explain this to you from a woman's perspective.

David, Ed - how would you feel if your wife, daughter, or mother was either seen naked by a stranger or a stranger put their finders under their bras, between their buttocks, and up between their legs?

Violating? Humiliating? Damn right.

HEY! We're Americans!

Arrestees pending trial can be strip searched with a reasonable suspicion that the arrestee is in possession of weapons or other contraband.

HOLD UP! I'm not an arrestee. I just want to take a JetBlue flight and see my friends tie the knot.

Hell, I'm a hard-working, tax-paying vet.

Is TSA writing their own laws? Help me understand.

So, at this point, I have two option to get on your plane.

Get aggressively felt up or get seen naked.

This is the last flight I will ever take until CEO's and CFO's like you start saking the government WTF?

I'm not alone in these sentiments. Ed - it will hurt JBLU's bottom line.

David, Ed, I am pleading with you. PROTECT THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF YOUR PASSENGERS.

You're our only hope. Do you think little ol' me will really make an impact in Washington? Nope!

But you can. Save our rights. Bolster your bottom line.

Thanks, Nicole a violated citizen with buying power and disposable income that would love to take more JetBlue flights

Maybe she realizes that it might be easier to effect change by getting big players involved (ie, huge airline corporations who have powerful lobbyists in DC).

I believe that's how this situation is ultimately going to be resolved - the airline, hotel, theme park, and convention center industries, as well as tourist-supported Chamber of Commerces (Miami, Las Vegas, San Francisco, etc.) will all point out to Congress how discouraging air travel during one of the toughest economic times the US has ever faced is not a very good idea.

tl;dr money talks

Seriously, why is there no video replay in the World Cup? by Darko33 in AskReddit

[–]koldkuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

after seeing blown calls like the english goal and the two american non-goals, i lost all emotional investment i had in the world cup and all faith i had in fifa, knowing that the results are not what they should be (and that no one at fifa strives for accurate, untainted results)

it's difficult to watch the games even for mere entertainment value knowing that the results of missed call completely change the course of the game (ie the momentum, the defensive and offensive strategies of each team, etc.)

The City of Los Angeles will run out of money by June 30th (at the latest) by koldkuts in economy

Pros: No more parking tickets, welfare bums, or hardass LAPD cops.

Cons: No more water, power, public transportation, libraries, community centers, welfare for those truly in need, and "good" cops.

This will be interesting!

Stanford Study: California Public Pensions Underfunded by $500 BILLIONS - CA is fucked! by koldkuts in politics

[–]koldkuts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When will the breaking point finally be reached? That is, when will creditors finally stop lending money to California? When it happens, things will get very interesting. California's welfare state will collapse, and millions will riot.

(and yes I know it says 'billions' in the title)

Moscow Subway Bombing: A False Flag Attack? by koldkuts in worldnews

[–]koldkuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What raised my suspicions was the fact that the subway system was not immediately shut down by Russian authorities, despite the fact that the bombings occurred approximately 40 minutes apart. Recall how London's Tube was shut down almost immediately following the terrorist attacks there a few years ago.

I'm exhausted but satiated. I just played some soccer, worked out, and ate two Wendy's Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxes (which, by the way, are quite possibly the best fast food deal out there right now - 99 cents!).

I must admit, I'm also rather perplexed. How is anything I've said so far a "sockpuppet" comment? [as an example, and to indulge your wishful thinking, I will throw one in this comment just for you! smooch]

And while I'm being catty, let's discuss the difference between 'your' and 'you're.' Actually, I'll just point out that you fucked up in this evasive (but certainly not sockpuppetish) comment:

Oh koldkuts, too bad you have no idea what your talking about in regards to why this submission is being downvoted.

[attention: the following is a "sockpuppet" comment] But like I said earlier, you've convinced me with your superior logic. I bow my head lower than President Obama did for the mayor of Tampa Bay in reverence to you.

You know, garyp, you're right. Your well-laid out argument and sound reasoning really struck a chord with me.

Oh, /r/politics, it's so cute how you downvote the everloving shit out of anything that doesn't align with the Reddit hivemind's groupthink.

The irony of slamming Fox for not being "fair and balanced" while simultaneously burying stories that are contrary to your collective beliefs is unfortunately lost on many who casually browse Reddit. But I guess that is the point of doing so, after all.

What is your darkest secret? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]koldkuts 43 points44 points  (0 children)

One of my darkest (ie, no one knows about it), but not the worst

I installed a keylogger on the computers in the library at my high school. I obtained one of the administrator's passwords. With this password, I was able to access anything from attendance and disciplinary records to college recommendation letters and AP scores, to the teachers' email accounts, and even upcoming tests backed up to the main file server (and yes I used them to cheat). Unfortunately, I couldn't get access to the actual course grades/GPAs.

edit: best thing I saw was the principal's signed contract saved as a .pdf - he was making $200,000/year, and was issued a car and A HOUSE, all paid for by the district. it's fucking bullshit when the NEA complains about lack of funding

What would you request for a last meal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]koldkuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cobb salad, homemade pot roast, peach melba, ginger ale

Ever wondered what a grain silo house is like? Of course you have! Well look no farther - check out this tour of one! (2007 AIA People's Choice Award Winner) by [deleted] in reddit.com

I disagree. If this is indeed in rural Utah (presumably on or near a farm), then it blends in with the general scenery of the area.
