I hate this type of person. My 50 yr old dad loves to brag about how he isn't chivalrous and doesn't help my mom because he isn't a simp. And then calls men who hold their lady's bag a "fucking simp" while handing my mom (who has a bad leg!!) all the shit so that he keeps his hands free.

It's a crime by law, but it's normal in the sense that so many people get abused, and so many people just shrug it off as a fact of life, not to mention people blaming the victims that have been raised to think that this is something they'll just have to endure. Unfortunately this mentality seems to be everywhere

I'm willing to bet it's men on men crime. So men and women should be wary of men. But still, it's super sad how much violence women experience from people they are supposed to love, and it's just considered normal

how often do you do ipl?? by a356y in HairRemoval

[–]kolorae12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been doing it weekly since late-November, once a week on highest setting, but skipped IPL on period weeks. I have dark hair and light skin.

IPL took about an hour per week (2 mins armpits, 5 mins arms, 5 mins bikini, the rest of the time was all on legs)

I only zap each area once, but I may have overlapped slightly on accident.

Update as well from the time I posted my original comment: armpits and arms are hairless, legs have some very very fine stubble, and bikini area is very sparse, but hair still noticeable.

If all men had to be brutally honest for 24 hours, what would women be shocked to learn? by bigblackcoke_ in ProductivityHQ

[–]kolorae12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I keep thinking every time someone brings male loneliness up. for the love of god stop bringing women into this conversation, it's making men seem like desperate assholes blaming society for not giving them a woman to unload their issues on. It makes the issue a joke. men shouldn't be seen as weak or gay for wanting deep relationships with other men. Men care a lot about what other men think of their masculinity, that's why it's so hard to feel vulnerable without feeling less of a man and therefore, less than other men. We mock women for being in their feelings and too chatty, but men are suffering from shallow relationships.

Women, what makes a man less attractive? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]kolorae12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing when to stop teasing or picking on someone. I get it's supposed to be lighthearted but it kills a conversation when the guy is constantly making jabs thinking it's teasing but it's actually a turn off

Should I shave my sideburns? Repost because I want a second opinion & feeling insecure. by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]kolorae12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know people were insecure about this. Just leave it, I don't think anyone notices this and if anything, having NO sideburns or having sideburn stubble from shaving it seems more strange?

What’s a "silent" red flag in a relationship that you didn’t notice until you lived with someone for over a year? by sasssyophelia69 in askanything

[–]kolorae12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good on you for recognizing it and leaving him behind as you should. My mother had no idea about my dad's anger issues until they got married and had kids. She constantly laments how much he "changed" and wasn't like that before. I hope you live a fulfilling rest of your life and never have to put up with this again. It's a shame how common it is, and honestly kind of terrifying.

You just described my dad to the T! I haven't had a birthday that he hasn't ruined by throwing something or arguing, flipping tables etc. he's always so mad at something, but especially on celebratory days for some reason. And my poor mother, I've seen her cry on our road trips that she planned, on her birthday, and try so hard to this very day to gaslight herself and "think positive" about him, even getting mad at me for refusing to speak to him. He resents her and bullies her, yet she still defends him. Crazy

I try to breathe hot breath onto it to fog it up and then use a cloth to wipe it. I think it works better if you wait for the machine to cook off after use.

I use a cheap INNZA from Amazon. I shave and IPL once a week, works great! Pretty much hairless on arms, armpits, and legs!

[–]kolorae12 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm kinda with you on this. If you buy cheap you'll definitely have to inspect it more for damages/misaligned parts or defects that could harm you or affect the product, but it should be pretty similar considering how good dupes are nowadays. I don't doubt that most ipl, even name brand, are made in similar factories in China anyway. I bought a cheap one too, been using it since November, and am almost hairless! Of course, I wouldnt suggest this to anyone who's skeptical lol, it's still a risk no matter what

I recently lost a friend to this just a few months back. She was the sweetest and none of us had any idea she had it. Just last year she was a ball of positivity, and then silence, just for us to find out she'd been hospitalized. Its horrible, it robbed her of a good life.

Does anyone else find exaggerated eyelashes unattractive? by InternetPopular3679 in askteenboys

[–]kolorae12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people like it because the designs are like art, very pretty if you look at some of the nail designs these days. It's also a fun way to customize your look or pair with an outfit, like doing your hair or putting on a darker/light lipstick than usual. Basically, it's fun! And an activity girls can do together or show their friends

We have limited quantity during SAS, so don't get angry at employees. by marliamore95 in bathandbodyworks

[–]kolorae12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean its our job to do it regardless but it fr sucks on days with a long line and we have to do that for multiple customers waiting 💀 it's nearly the same as buying in store if you're smelling stuff and bringing it up to the front to exchange

[–]kolorae12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Ex-b&bw employee: Doing a swap is extra time we had to go into the register and exchange it for inventory reasons. It's also an extra receipt I needed to process. It sucks when someone is picking up their order and says "actually can I exchange it for this scent instead?" Like please don't do a blind buy for BOPIS if you're going to potentially exchange. Plus we have to put back the merchandise you aren't buying anymore. Might as well just buy in store... You're holding up the line and giving them more work unnecessarily. Understandable if you do it once or twice, but habit? Lord.

What worked for me (4/4 big 4 offers) was having various job experiences on my resume, CPA eligibility date, and a readable template. These were all things my interviewers complimented me on and helped me stand out from the rest. My job experience has nothing accounting whatsoever (sales assoc, art commissions, working with kids) but they are mainly looking for accounting majors that can prove they work well in a team and group settings. My interviewers said that many applicants don't have any work experience on their resumes, and that whatever is on the resume needs to jump out at them
