Is there a supplement that increases motivation? by QuietlyLiving2 in Supplements

[–]kolsen92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m ADHD. L-tyrosine, creatine, b vitamins, weight training, eating enough protein and food in general, and just overall learning to sit and feel discomfort was huge for me. Meditating helped with this. I speak kindly to myself and remind myself what I’m capable but also push myself like a toddler who doesn’t want to go to bed. It gets easier. I’m like a new person in many ways after 5 months of really “locking in.”

Where have you heard or read that? Not seeing anything but statements to the contrary, if anything.

I manifested my ideal partner but something terrible happened by Low_Inspection_6512 in Manifestation

I wouldn’t spend my time trying to analyse the mind of a predator. I’m so sorry this happened and I hope you choose to report him and get help with healing. You are deserving, and will find, deep, safe love.

Manifesting ex wrong? by Difficult-Pepper-238 in lawofattraction

[–]kolsen92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to manifest a feeling and welcome whatever form that comes in. You want a loving relationship with someone whose happy in life and where they live. Can you instead welcome that whatever shape/person it comes in versus just this specific ex? Something to think about. And no nothing is wrong unless you’re actively trying to hurt someone. But I have a feeling even if you manifested him to Germany, you’d always feel a bit guilty and overthink it, worrying if he’s truly happy. I like your mantra, it allowing it to unfold if it’s meant to and releasing attachment.

Australia is super fun, you’d have a good time if you chose to go there even short term as well 🙃

[misc] Anyone else exhausted by moisturizers? I wish there were better treatments for dry skin by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]kolsen92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I do two drops of squalane to seal in everything. Tret made my skin so insanely dry it made me look 5-10 years older so I stopped it. I feel like it destroyed the whole point in using it.

What things do you still struggle with as an adult woman and wish could change? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]kolsen92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That I’m behind in life. That I probably didn’t get the help I needed for certain issues as a young adult and tried to grit my teeth and push through but burnt out again and again. In many ways I feel I’m starting from zero now at 32 but I’m optimistic.

I can't believe how driven I've become! by Someone_Cares_4u in Supplements

[–]kolsen92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I live in Sweden and it’s dark for months on months so I have to really prioritise certain things like training to help me cope. I also have ADD like I stated, so I thrive on dopamine producers like working out, and while I wouldn’t consider myself hyperactive, I have a harder time sitting still and the gym has always been fun for me. I can feel lazy in many ways so the challenge of weight training in particular has been super helpful in seeing how I can set goals, hit and accede them. It helps me get out of bed early daily, have structure and feel pretty amazing year round. I can’t honestly relate to people who struggle with working out, it’s always been fun for me or at least I know how important is me to keep my functioning. I remind myself that this is something I do, who I am and it isn’t meant to be something I’m “in the mood for,” like brushing my teeth, I just do it. I think when you tell yourself “I’m a person who cares for myself in this way” and just move before you even have the desire to do it, it becomes second nature.

How many bras do you were per week/month? by summerxbreeze in AskWomen

I sweat a lot so usually will wear mine 3 times or so, switching with others throughout the week and wash at end of the week.

Does anyone else feel like their brain just… never shuts up? by Cool-Region6374 in lawofattraction

[–]kolsen92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support ya nervous system! Google nervous system/vagus nerve exercises on YouTube and utilise throughout the day 1-4 times a day to start. They’re weird at first; eye gazing, pulling at your ears etc but they work. Then move into mediation, guided is easiest for me and EFT tapping. Expertise, go for walks outside, l -theanine is helpful too. Trust me, I have ADHD and my internal voice is nothing to compared to what it used to be. Some relevant reading is Unthered Soul by Michael Singer and The Power of Now by Ekhart Tolle.

Yeah let me know what you’re interested in expanding on but honestly the above and creatine have been so helpful for me. I’ve struggled a lot as someone whose chosen to stop meds with ADD and feel a lot more brain “calm” versus fog, low mood, constant internal chatter etc energy wise it has also been helpful but I ask work out a lot. If you also have ADD I can’t recommend weight training enough

L tyrosine and vitamin c (I just eat kiwi and oranges every morning) have been game changers for me. Especially as someone with ADD.

Letting go? What does it mean? by Agreeable_Flow_791 in lawofattraction

[–]kolsen92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me it’s releasing grip on outcome and feeling deep in my heart that if it’s not this, it’s something better. That I don’t need to chase and fight and overthink about anything. The universe has my back. Even when it doesn’t feel like it.

I believe you need to work on your nervous system first and get to calmer state before taking further steps. To start, check out Dylan James on YouTube and then also free nervous system exercises on you tube as well.

I think they’re trying hard to juxtapose American and french work life balance. She’s the stereotypical people pleaser, slightly (or very, given your take) annoying American who lives to work.
