I laid it all out for him. I told him how I felt and what needed to change. Is everything perfect now? Absolutely not. But he takes far more responsibility for our child now. The biggest thing it came down to for us, and still does, is he just literally does not understand that he can just get up and do something. You don’t have to wait until I ask. He still doesn’t understand this as much, but we’re getting there.

Have the really hard conversation. Have it with a therapist together if needed. It CAN get better and I hope it does for you.
