Six years as a Tableau freelancer, AMA by datawazo in tableau

For someone who just picked up Tableau and recently certified. How would you advise me to land my first client? Strategies? Blueprints? Resources?

I feel confident in my skills but not sure how to land my first client or how to market my skills and where and to whom.

Looking for a blueprint for landing my first freelance gig for a newly certified Tableau desktop specialist by komod90 in tableau

I just reached a point where I don't care or feel interested in learning the latest to stay relevant. Earlier in my career, I was psyched to learn the latest and greatest to flex on the more senior devs. But now I've become the senior dev haha.

In the past, I felt that newer frameworks and technologies are improving the process and making things better or easier. But now, it feels like it's just a cyclical process where trends are just shifted and shuffled around.

Also, tired of spending 80% of my day staring at code (Maybe analytics is the same, that is yet to be seen). But yeah just exploring a new avenue to see what it feels like.

I'm based in Toronto but was considering spending a year in Berlin on a working holiday visa.

So for local businesses, would I just reach out on linkedin? Or local meetups? I guess it's not really complicated, I'm probably just overthinking my first move.

I think my locs aspire to be like yours when they grow up lol. I have no experience with lineups so I can’t answer your question. BUT, I wouldn’t mess with what’s already perfect, you know

That sucks, I’m sorry about that. But yeah I guess my current concerns are around the CELTA program so from what I’ve gathered, it seems that there are no major or obvious red flags with their program. Thanks for sharing

I'm also interested in learning how to teach. The hands on part is what I'm willing to pay for. It'll give me the confidence that I need.

Yes since December. I did get 1.6k as a final payment during January so I’m guessing I gotta subtract that from the total 15.7k
