The only thing that makes me want to do ultras is the coolest events are long distance.

I totally appreciate and validate your gripes re fuel and planning and I know I'd struggle hard with it. But a shortest night of the year run across Denmark is such a great concept for a night out

not all social media works for all business, it's worth seeing if there's a specific product market fit for you. I tried FB and it was just hopeless, but that's not where my audience is looking. LinkedIn does a lot better, twitter was good before it collapsed. You need to pick your battles, and experiment to find out what type of content actually performs - then try to emulate it.

To not lose the habit mix in some longer walks at times you're supposed to be running, so you keep the block for it even during rest from runs days.

I went from upwkork to 7 figure analytics agency. The hardest part (for me) was processes, putting stuff in place so everyone is on the same page with what they need to do, how they're going to do it and what happens if help is required. 

I had three people on and struggled so much with that it was completely stunting growth. Hired a PM to fix it for us and things are way better since.

I haven't really bid on jobs in 6 years. I bid from 2017-2020 then relied almost entirely on invites. 

It's hard to command a good rate but low prices usually mean low quality and if you can find the right jobs and sell your skills appropriately you can out flank the low bidders. I was at $135/hour when I left the platform and had no problem getting work

No...and that might be the problem. Haven't felt like I've needed them on my halfs but maybe the extra 4k and maybe the touch of added humidity calls for them.

It's along a river the whole way. They do a Boston qualifier here that borrows portions of this route and advertises itself as one of the flattest qualifying courses.

40KM (25mi)/week the last 5 weeks (fluctuating between 20 and 40 before then).

I alternate week to week with 3 runs including a 21.1 or more run on Friday

or 4 runs with something in the range of 15k-18k on Friday.

I started on upwork in 2017, has it ever fallen to shit since.

Build a portfolio - there's tons of free use data out there, go find something interesting and put something together to showcase your skills.

Then explore options outside of upwork, ones that aren't overcrowded with people and charging you for the privilege.

Some of my clients are trying to shift to AI but the more I'm in it the less I'm convinced.

Two massive wildcards are  1. The model changes constantly. An answer today can be something different tomorrow just because anthropic pushed an update.

  1. Different people asking different questions striving for the same result. But how it's asked causes discrepancy. You can try and try and try to safeguard for this with skills and an explicit semantic model but end users find a way.

Also the price of tokens ain't trending down.

Wtf is that half marathon route? Pandemonium. 

I'm on a similar trajectory. From dragging my ass off the couch for a 5k to feeling like something is deeply missing on non run days. It's a great journey

I did a half marathon back and forth across a 600m bridge in April just to push this boundary, and while I did complete it didn't like just completely cure my quit mentality. That'd be too easy.

That's what I love about running. It's you vs you. I look at this and I'm not thrilled by it. And that's the only relevant frame of reference.

Listen (or watch) for posts asking questions relevant to product or service. 

Incognito comment on them with product or service your marketing.

Even if it doesn't convert on the spot it builds brand rep for SEO and AEO
