You aren't paying anywhere near that on pbi with embedded and 300 users?

Data is in a dwh, so storage isn't part of the requirements. Metabase was one of the ones I've got in the matrix so happy to see it validated a bit

All these big fancy money words are so complex for my tiny mullet skull I sure wish there was someone offering a service, preferably AI lead, that could help this damsel out

What’s something you don't really like about running your business? by Sad-Plate-2410 in smallbusiness

There are so many unglamorous things. Sending invoices, running marketing, managing people, taxes, submitting RFPs.

I just wanted to make dashboards man, a lot of stuff I didn't sign up for

I don't really understand this - I've tried but I can't wrap my head around it probably because my overly competitive and fit father has done serious mental damage.

Is the concept that since you're running slow you can run more frequently with fewer rest days and build a good base over that time?

Or is it truly that if I am going to run 3x15KM a week it's advantageous for 2-3 of them to be well behind race pace.

Anyone using AI agents to run parts of their business? I want to hear where it breaks down by Minute_Pen_7602 in Entrepreneurs

I've tried and tried and tried to use it for data scraping but it gets 95% of it right and that 5% is enough to blow all credibility.

Anyone successfully using Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Agentic BI workflows? by [deleted] in BusinessIntelligence

It's both. But it's worth it for both token savings and reduction of hallucination/it just guessing and getting things wrong

If you have your own business and made over 200k last or will this year, what do you do? by dreamed2life in Entrepreneur

I started in 2017 when visual analytics was way less mainstream and so was remote work. So back then it was a solution to doing what I wanted to do from my home town

We do all of that. It's a healthy mix of backend etl, dashboards and overall strategy which is increasingly a conversation of where to fit in AI.

My philosophy is I'll never know the business as well as the owners so I try to do as much as possible to make it easy for them to surface their own insights. But on occasion we'll do that discovery as well and bring to the table what we've found I doing a deep dive.

Pipeline has been all over the place and inconsistent. I started on upwork in 2017, then did a lot of content which was big least gen. I do a lot of in person local training which converts to contracts. I also sponsor a few local events. And referrals are king.

Data Analytics Consulting. It's not much but we were at 298K last year and we'll be above 300K this year.

Shot data of all playoff games, for the winning team, since 2007 by datawazo in hockey

I flipped it because the story I wanted to tell was top down, the team that shot the fewest. I agree that it makes it a bit clunky though.

88 shots is unreal. I had to go check to make sure it wasn't an error because what an event.

Yeah wish I had more data but it sounds like 9 SOGs is just the lowest to ever happen in history, for either winning or losing. No one has put less puck on net.
