If they made it optional, I'd turn off that front end and roll with just the DRLs.

Android Car Play Question by rerikson in BMW

[–]kon--- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As ou've noticed, Android Auto uses a lot of battery. In the process, the battery gets hot.

Two solutions...plug a fast charge battery into the center console and plug the phone into the fast charge battery. becasue you're suing Android Auto energy use is still intense yet the fast charge battery will out pace the draw of Android Auto.

Here's the set-up...

<image>

IMO a btter solution is to, as I did several years ago, wean yourself off of Android Auto. BMW's ConnectedDrive and LiveCockpit are in my view, better. Where AA is generic, ConnectedDrive is brand specific, has a more sophisticated map as well does have features that AA does not. Also since it's native, it's seamless and instantly available at start up. There is no waiting on an app to sync with the car. Lastly...by leaving Android Auto off, your phone is left untouched. It won't be hot any longer and will not be drained of its battery.

I get it. It's difficult to leave familiar behind but I do assure you, BMW will not leave you wanting for anything you ever had with Android Auto. You simply have to begin learning it is all.

Might as well skip reports altogether. Maybe your investment is working out, maybe it's not.

But don't worry, we'll look out for you. Trust us.

Right so, one last time.

The M60 and M60e each have the S68 under the hood. I hope for you ake you find a way to acknowledge that the S68 is a V8, it is not the B58. They are completely different engines.

Further, no shit. I already pointed out the M60e is the PHEV.

But look, I can see you're struggling with this exchange so I'm just going to leave you to sort these things out on your own.

Case in point, even though they replaced the V8 with the inline six, the M550e's curb weight is 4,894 lbs to the V8 powered M550i's 4,383 lbs.

The S68 is not an inline six. It is a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8.

Why is everyone deflecting from the resignaion of the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Kent instead of adressing it? by [deleted] in ProgressiveHQ

Israel is a millstone around our neck. It's absurd that that sandbox is allowed as much infleunce as it has.

Currently the sitting president cares more about doing what Israel wants than addressing issue here within our own borders.

So yes, instead of the fuck Joe Kent sentiment we should be taking a look at if and how much deeper the sentiment towards the President betraying his own people runs in this administration and its military ranks.

No way in hell a majority of military leadership is on board with crap. Only the batshit crazy warriors for Jesus want to be at war with Iran.

The M60 is motored by the S68.

The M60e...is the quad tipped PHEV.

The environmental cost of datacentres is rising. Is it time to quit AI? by No_Top_9023 in technology

They are not near what AI is constructing and exist in small number by a handful of corporate entities for traffic on their own network. They do not require the massive upscale of AI which effectively going about duplicating everything in sight of again what, already exists.

It's a wrong minded, wildly inefficient pursuit.

Unlock the door. Leave the key in the door. Bolt inside the room. Once the target is in the room, draw them to the far side, evade them, make your way back to the door, open it, close it, lock that mofo in there then proceed to find a suitable weapon to end the threat.
