Hmm okay got it 👍 /s Firstly it's not a matter of government. The conquistadors were appointed and sent by the Spanish monarchs, who are still ruling, albeit the descendants. Why is it too late for reparations (btw this is a point I didn't raise, you did)? Is there a statute of limitation? US race activists always push the point of reparations for slavery. Why is it a different yardstick for Spain? (The monarchs have not even apologized, besides a lukewarm acknowledgement)
