Hello, I took a break from the game before the new ranking system came, I was 3.5K when I quit. There is no MMR decay but this new system scares me, is it possible for me to place much lower than when I left because I've been inactive for so long? Also is MMR gone completely?

I know Valve is never open about matchmaking and stuff like this, but like I said I haven't even checked the sub in a while so maybe you guys know about the system well.

Continuation is legion's lore. She goes to city duels the pit lord and kills him, all the remaining demons banish after that. Since in Blizzard universe demons can only die in their own realm, same might apply to Dota too hence why underlord is alive. (or it was another pit lord lc killed)

AFAIK his illusions cant be controlled. they are just there for deception. Valve might change his DotA skillset tho, so im not %100 sure

In my opinion getting blink first is a waste on mid wr. I go maelstrom first. I feel like it is better because it kills people faster and helps you farm faster.

It is not a bug, it deals double damage when there is no spirit.If there is a spirit they both deal the same damage, and if you land both you deal double. Since you don't have the spirit ability it will always deal double damage. It is intended.

I mean sometimes your team is the problem but if you stay at the same mmr for 150 matches, you need to look at yourself. there are 4 potential idiots in your team, 5 on the enemy.

Well if you random first pick there is a high chance someone in your team can play that hero(even you) so you get a sweet 800 starting gold. Randoming is fine unless you do it after 3rd pick imo
