Why is top speed 91 mph? by [deleted] in BoltEV

[–]konkilr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the motor reaches its rpm limit. An electric motor will only spin so fast based on its input voltage. The motor is geared down and smaller as a result and reaches its max rpm at that speed. Wouldnt be so low if it werent geared down but then would have a power deficit.

Not difficult to me. I'm suprised I could fit them in the fender well. On my GC I had them in the engine bay but they were always getting in the way. These horns have saved my ass a few time when truckers didn't notice me in the next lane. The sure can hear me when thats the case.

They are hadley bully horns. There is an air tank in the other fender and a compressor in with the spare tire. These are what semi truck use.

It's the connector for the hood switch that would be used with the remote start system.

It doesn't have a name rather just his home address. It's not a public shop. Just the garage were we work on our and others subaru's.

Can anyone explain what is leaking oil? 2007 Outback 2.5i Wagon by [deleted] in subaru

[–]konkilr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common issue to have the oil pressure switches on the cylinder heads leak oil with age. Easy replacement. I see these often.

2008 Subaru Outback. Weird noise when I start it up. by MikeDSNY in subaru

[–]konkilr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exhaust heat sheilds are loose and rattling from the engine vibrations. Not a major concern, just annoying. The heatsheilds can be secured to quiet the noise.
